SSN WITHOUT THE EAD...VERY COOL!

guess what my friends?....my wife is a k3 visa holder and she arrived here on 4-11-2002. then she applied for SSN without the EAD and guess what?....the SSS issued her a SSN card with work authorization....but she had to wait two months for that SSN card though...but hey, we saved time and money....

aint it cool or what?

we were refuses and got a letter of denial so she could get a drivers liscence.

What does it say exactly on her SS card ? Is it blank, (like yours) or does it say something like "eligible for work with INS authorization". If it says something like the later, she will still need a valid EAD card to work legally. If it is blank (like yours and other US citizens), then the SS office has made a mistake which you would be wise to correct before her AOS interview.
