Hi Stephen,

Haha.Do you really think it would help?I actually posted something similar last year on Mag.Some guy named Gene started ranting.

Besides the fact that the  truth is sometimes unpleasant why would that post create a stir?Just curious.Every time I go to Mag it is just Pinays chatting.I always miss the good stuff.Who is the Kano who is ranting about Pinoys that got MOF upset. Is it Gene?

I enjoyed your pics from the RP.

Thanks for clarifying that Mog. I didn’t really think you were condoning racism, but sometimes I wonder when these Filipina ladies speak up against it and people call it sniveling or whining. Yes, we all have to deal with this crap during our lives, but throwing it in our faces on an international forum like this is just plain stupid IMHO and only causes others to stop participating. I think some people over there on M-A just aren’t accustomed to having Filipina ladies speak their mind on controversial issues. I agree that getting these “feelings” out on the table can be educational, but after a while it gets old when the same individuals keep spewing their bigoted hate-speech at every opportunity.

Some people may think that the moderators over there are controlling the content, but I haven’t really seen that. The moderators tend to stay out of the arguments and as long as someone presents their point in an intelligent and respectful manner, they tend to allow a lot of controversial stuff on the forum. It’s the guys who can’t participate in an intelligent discussion without flaming and insulting others that get the ax. I don’t always like it when a post gets deleted or someone gets banned for flaming, but that’s the prerogative of the forum owners.

The M-A moderators may be married to Filipinas, but aren’t just about all of the rest of the participants over there married to or planning to marry a Filipina also? I can’t speak for the other posters, but I consider that part of the territory when you marry a Filipina, standing up for them against ignorant and wrongful stereotyping. I don’t go around calling for banning those that do it, but I sure as hell am going to say something when it happens, no matter how many childish flame responses I get form the trolls :-)

.. it would be the only Government Agency with friendly, helpful people. "Helpful, friendly government employees" is an oxymoron. Ever deal with the IRS, where more than half of the answers they give on their tax help hotline are wrong? How about the DMV? I'm having fun right now with the California Sales Tax people who are assessing me taxes I don't owe, and don't give a rats azz if I move my company and its 50 employees out of the State, just so long as they can confiscate money from me today - WHETHER I OWE IT OR NOT!

The biggest lie of all, "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you." translated into English is "I'm worthless and incapable of doing anything constructive for society, so feeding from the public trough and can't be fired, so I'm here to show you how important I really am. In my mind the only government employees who earn there keep and are competent are the military - because they're the only ones held accountable for being competent.

My 2 billion dollars (the governent has no idea what cents are)

... in response to If were possible to effect meaningful ch..., posted by Jeff S on Jul 14, 2002

You ought to visit the midtown Manhattan IRS office. Even if all you need is a handful of tax forms, you must now go through airport style security; emptying the pockets, walking through the metal detector, your briefcase x-ray scanned, etc. etc. All this makes the lunchtime errand to run over and pick the forms into quite an ordeal. This checkpoint used to be upstairs for those actually having an appointment, but has now been moved to the front door. They obviously fear the taxpayer so much that they treat us like criminals even BEFORE we can file the return, thus one can  take comfort in the realization that the taxpayer now scares the bejeezus out of the IRS...Discussing this idiotic fear-based security policy with the surly guards is useless, of course. I guess they must realize that if Osama blew up the IRS office that he would become a folk hero...

... in response to Hi! SJ, Ray S our most knowledgeable mem..., posted by greg on Jul 13, 2002

As fast as things are changing these days, a lot of the information in the archives, though only a few months old, may already be dated. Mag and Planet Love . Thats it . Now Mag is CENSOR-CITY, theres nowhere to go. I like the Yahoo club, but since it changed to yahoo groups that is no use now either.
The situataions are changing far too rapidly there now, with new laws in congress, new Embassy policies, etc. For instance if you get a request for more documents from the Embassy now, you cant bring them there, you cant even send them there by courior, you have to call the Embassy, wait till THEY call a courior, the WAIT for the courior to come pick them up and deliver them to the embassy! THAT little setback alone will cause a month+  setback easy! I wasted a $10 phone card a few nights ago trying to contact the Embassy, only to get told by the operator that "Sir, everyone is at lunch now"!!!!
Only WHEN enough people that have been wronged by these people, who are payed with OUR taxpayer dollars get mad enough, can we organize a congressional letter writing campaign, email, phone calls, until someone does something! These people are only a reflection of the people managing them! If there are 135 filipinos and 35 Americans working there, it shouldnt be that hard to get someone in congress to present a bill to get some changes made over there. We just need to find a way to pool our efforts and put our heads together and GET SOME RESULTS. The congresspeople wont respond until they get a LOT of LETTERS. Since a lot of the people at MAG-LOSER-ANAK already are happily enjoying life with their wives they obviously forgot the plight of those still struggling through the heartache and frustration of the process. And since they are so p-whipped, they snub their noses on us. I wish I had a decent computer so I could make a website.

Excellant points. While some may consider Mag nothing more than answering the same questions over and over, in reality the answers are changing daily. Ray is also right in that there's no place for racial bigotry. Mag has the right to censor it as well as Patrick has done also.

Posters are just repeating Answers and asking the same Questions over and over like Parrots. Nothing new, no excitement..Dull Dull Board..When Guys try bringing excitement to that Board, the High and Mighty Moderators step in to bring it back to it's Boring Level. My friend Billy B and Gene are the only fun Posters on that Board. Wish more Posters were like them lol

the last one Posted on that topic. Posted my own bad experience at the Philippines Embassy in San Francisco and at Manila..Then this Pinay MMMMM on fire(don't remember her handle), but the Moderator seems sweet on Her..She was Blasting me, wasn't able to read what she said..But she was blasting everyone for Posting about their bad experiences at the hands on the Filipino staff. I guess she Snitched, and Moderator decided to get rid of all the Truth. Mag-Anak should be Changed to "Filipino Forum". There are certain Pinays on that Mag board that hold some kinda Spell on the Moderators. Mag Anak Moderators need to take off their Rosy Colored glasses. Mag Anak is a Huge Bore, no fun on that board. Thank God for Patrick..He let us speak our mind.

Hi Patrick,

You got me! ROFLMAO!!! However, I think that Greg might disagree with you about the fart jokes! ;o))

Greg, you're right! There seems to be some very heavy cyber-courting going on over at M-A.
