Hey Everyone.....

Guess we join the ranks of Bear and Febtember...my wife is now officially BUNTIS!! About 8 weeks along...yay.  I don't get to post much on here anymore, what with being so busy working and carting my wife to work, and visiting family, etc.  Sorry I am only a lurker of late, would love to jump in, but time is hard to find these days.  Congrats to the expecting ones.  We had a slight miscarriage in Jan, but it looks like it really tood this time, thank God.  We are hoping for a boy, but whatever is fine.  I feel kind of the same about Maganak too, I post there from time to time and hardly get ANY response at all, kinda makes me feel all alone. Well, will try to post more often,

I heard that she must watch out for the witch!  The witch can follow the sweet smell of the baby and come to eat it.  Sometimes the witch will climb up on the roof and drop saliva down on the woman and this is not good.  You can tell who the witch is by watching the person's eyes - a witch doesn't look right at you when their talking, their eyes roll around and go back and forth.

Hey Jimbo,

My wife's young cousin always asks her how "The Witch" is. He likes me, but thinks that I'm a witch because of my eye color. I will have to roll my eyes around next time I see him. LOL

Congradulations!!

Hmmmmm?  Some of the Filipinas we have met here have such beautiful children.  I think the old saying that Amer-asian children are best looking is so true.  And we posters here on Planet-Love are doing our best to beautify the world by making amer-asian babies.  Plus its a lot of fun too.

Sadly, though Honey is always sick now.  She doesn't have morning sickness, she is nauseated 24 hours a day.  Doesn't like any of the foods she used to eat anymore.  And wakes me up in the middle of the night to make her hot chocolate.  She has so many phobias about things that are hard to deal with.  The doctor gave her a perscription for Zantac for the nausea but she refuses to take it, or crackers & bread (taste problem), and antacids so she stays nauseated?

As for Mag-anak.  Thoses of you who have a problem with Mariene_on_fire, she was dating/writing/talking with George in Seattle and he is one of the moderators of Mag-anak.  She's really a nice girl, Honey and I know her personally and have spent time together in Manila. George is a nice guys as well, I have talked with him on the phone several times so I do not understand the conflict that has occurred because I did not get to read it.  I think like all people you probably just hit one of her buttons.  I know a few months ago someone there pushed on of mine in a discussion about poligamy and my response and the whole thread was immediately deleted.  I've seen Patrick do the same just not so quickly.

But I think they make beautiful children too. I have seen many couple's sites and their kids are so cute. We want to have two and that's all.  If I could, I would like to have 5 with this wonderful woman, but, finances and the cost these days, you know..Keep us posted on your babie's progress and I'll try to do the same.  My wife had some hellatious morning sickness, actually all nite sickness, the first 3-4 weeks. She would eat nothing, and I was worried about her and the baby's health. We are on the 7th week now, and she seems to have snapped out of it and is eating very well. Now she is craving ice cream drumsticks at night!! Just a pointer for you guys, these ladies believe if they don't get what they crave, they may lose the baby. Also they believe that if they look at someone or something ugly, the baby will be ugly. My wife is looking at pics of cute babies so ours will be cute. One other old wives tale is if your wife gets ugly during pregnancy, the baby will be a boy...ya know, I was hoping for a boy, but...haha.  I also have a list of some good pregnancy sites if any of you are interested, just let me know...

Try feeding her ginger snaps. Seriously.
High potentcy milti-vitamins with minerals are helpful as well
if she can keep them down.
Vitamin K helps a bit also.

An epidemic of what?  haha, I can live with that kind of epidemic. Read my post above to Bear, and if you could, comment on the beliefs I mentioned that you Filipinos have about pregnancy. It is interesting and may enlighten some here on the culture, etc.  My wife and I tease each other about it, and she even walked over me while I was sleeping!!
I guess this is supposed to impart her sickness and pain to me, so she won't suffer. I jokingly asked her if she wants me sick too, and how can I then care for her? She told me she just wanted to see if it was true or not. I never got sick, but my belly is getting bigger, LOL.

Congratulations to all you pregnant couples.  Mares is in her eight month and keeps getting happier every day.  Her view of life and family is so refreshing in our hurry up world.

Just curious if this is a Filipna thing.  Do they all get really happy when pregnant?
