Yep, another one appeared in my mailbox yesterday. RP postmark. I tossed it, of course.

Tip to you new guys here -- think very very carefully before you advertise yourself in a penpal magazine overseas. This decision will touch your life for years to come. My story is that when I started on this quest, I advertised myself in Heart of Asia's newsletter. My bio and address appeared in the Sept. 1998 newsletter.

I am still getting letters from prospective penpals almost 4 years later.

Regards, Tim

P.S. And NO I didnt' tell Wendy about this recent arrival, although she does know these letters still come every so often.

Hubby also received  letters from philippines till now.He publish his name in Pacific Romance magazine last 1998 until now he still received some letters.Everytime he received letter from philippines (of course I'm the first one to know he has mail because I am the one who check the mailbox since his in our shop or sometime in the field working)When hubby arrived from home I have to tell him of course that his has mail from his girlfriend from philippines and it made him laugh so loud.He know I'm jealous. He never even bother to open it or read it so I always ask permision to him if I can read and open the letter. He say yes so I read every letter he received from philippines and read it very loud to him.I always tease him with some filipina name when I mad.

Yes, this is why I check our mailbox personally everyday. No need to stress my wife out over a "non-issue".

If you're going to place one of those ads, use a P.O. box for an address.

Just curious Tim, did you open it and read it before you tossed it? Any hot photos in there?  :-)

I usually don't open them, but I did this one. I was curious to see if she mentioned how she got my address. She cited the HoA newsletter, so copies of that must still be floating around. Scary thought.
