2nd NOA

I received the second NOA from the INS today. I was just wondering if anyone had any Information on how I can maybe speed up the process from here or do we just have to wait for the INS to send it to Manila and them to contact Mary in Bohol. Any information is appreciated.

Ken,

Is this for a fiancée visa? You might try this.

If she has her passport and all of her documents ready, send her a copy of the NOA by FAX, or at least make sure she has the Receipt Number listed on the NOA. Have her phone the embassy on their information toll-call line with her passport and receipt number handy. She can ask for a forms and instruction package to be sent to her and ask about the procedures for getting the medical exam. The phone numbers and calling procedures are listed here:

Thanks for the information Ray. I will call Mary this week end. Other than her passport NOA receipt number what other documents does she need to have ready?

The embassy will send her an information packet with instructions and a list of all the required documents she will need when she reports for the medical exam. This should normally include:

Approx $150 to cover the cost of the visa application fee and the medical exam.
Passport valid for at least one year.
2 copies of the OF-156 Visa Application.
DS-156K Fiancée Visa Application.
Certified copy of birth certificate from NSO Manila for fiancée & any children.
NBI clearance and police clearance from any country where she lived for more than a year.
I-134 Affidavit of Support with all supporting documents.
Evidence of meeting (couple of photos & copy of passport).
Evidence of relationship (letters, phone bills, receipts, etc.)
3-4 visa photos.
Complete copy of any divorce decrees.
A recent copy of her baptismal certificate if available, especially if her birth was late-registered.
Originals of any document copies you submitted with the petition.

Some of the readers with recent experience can correct anything I missed.
