Does anyone know if the rent govt change in policy as regards
to tourist visas applies to all countries, visiting the u.s.a
I know i saw an article in manila when i was there in the paper which said that it used to be 6 month tourist visa to the u.s.a from the phils and it was only recently changed to 30 days..........that sucks.

It  is  my  understanding  that  this  applies  to  all  countries  but  I  could  be  wrong.  My  boss  who  is  born  austrian  but  now  a  Canadian says this  applies  to  everybody  including  Canadians.  I  wonder  how  this  will  affect  the  snowbirds  in florida  but  it  is  my  understanding  that they are  declining  since  the  canadian  economy  isn't  what  it  used  to  be.  my  boss  is  returning  to  Canada  for  a  new  chapter in  his  life  and  we are  waiting  for  a  new  Frenchie frpm  the  venezuela  property  but  he  has  to  clear  his work visa also.

I  personally  don't  have a  problem  with  this  new  change  except that  it  is  the  government  implementing  a  quick  fix  solution  because they  screwed  up --- Cover Y. A.    I  have  seen some  abuses  of illegals  working  here  personally and  if  this  will somehow  help us  gain  a little  more  control  of  our  borders  what  can  I  say  it  will  keep  the  honest  people  honest.  Let  those people  who  want  to  visit  here   for  a  longer  period  of  time  pay more  and  get  the  appropriate  visa.  many  other  countries  don't  let  you  visit  and  hang out  there  for  6 - 12  months  no  questions  asked.  I  am  researching  visiting  Japan  myself and  they have  a  90  day  tourist  visa.

Hi Outwest,
I have a sister- law staying with me since
November of last year. She was just granted another
six month stay in the states. I think the age of
my sister-law  was the factor. For the six month
      extenison.
