What is the address of your Chinese/American board? My girlfriend is interested in visiting it. She is from Nanhai. Thanks in advance.

well...Some things are going well...other things aren't. My father had a heart attack..next day he had quintriple bypass surgery....the next day I was laid off. The up side? I have the summer off...we did a gig last Sunday...we have another Thursday...and things are going well with the Chinese girl I met about a year ago. Of course I had a trip planned to China for October but now that I am out of work, I will have to postpone it until the former cash flow resumes. Oh well...back to law school I guess. Thanks for the concern Dude!

Is your wife a Budhist, and if so, how have the two of you acclimated yourselves to each others religion?  Please don't think I'm nosy, I know you don't even know me, I am just curious.  I know my wife and I have no problems, her being Catholic, and me being Non-denom.  But there is a vast difference from these two, and your two.  BTW, I am assuming you are of a western religion, such as Lutheran or Meth, forgive the assumption..Please if you have time, can you elaborate?  Thanks so much, and you two look great together.  I was just in HK in April, and from what I saw, only from the aiport, it was awesome.  Loved that aiport, and ate some very good noodles there, haha,

Regards,
Willy

... in response to Hey Tim, a question..., posted by Willy on Jun 4, 2002

When I first met her, I thought she was mildly budhist. I was wrong. She really doesn't have a religion, or any beliefs along those lines. I was raised Baptist, and am now a wicked backslider...lol. I do believe in God, though, I just don't attend church.

Our differing beliefs have not caused us any problems. My wife possesses a very calm and sweet personality that oozes a good aura, and I just soak it up. At one point (right after we met and had some deep discussions), I remember considering keeping our relationship on just a friendly basis, all because of her lack of religious beliefs. However, after I got to know her better I decided to trust in her personality and inner beauty (which was too good to pass up, religion or not). This was one of the best decisions I've ever made about a relationship (and Lord knows I've screwed up plenty). She is easily the best thing that has happened to me in my whole life, so I can't see how us not sharing a common religion is a bad thing.

Maybe more than you wanted to hear !

Regards, Tim
