Anyone have ideas on cheaper tickets

I have found tix to Beijing for around 1100.00 r/t. Total flight time 16 hours. Anyone have any ideas on possibly saving some more?

Air Malasia has had a 30 day special the last couple months. I'm not sure if it's still around but you get a RT to Kuala Lampur for $700 and all the side trips you can make for free for 30 days (and that includes Beijing.) I've also seen Narita (Tokyo) RTs from LAX for $395 advertised on Japanese TV (in Los Angeles) the past few weeks. I can't imagine Narita/Beijing RT is more than a couple hundred on top of that.
