So.....I go to Illinois for holiday weekend and for the first time ever I was unable to access my e-mail remotely due some glitch with my server. Came home a few hours ago and my neighbor tells me CARMEN HAS HER VISA! Her Aunt in Manila called my neighbor's wife (Carmen's other Aunt) because Carmen could not figure out why I was not responding to her e-mail.
I was able to access my e-mail from home and there was "the" message. I think the visa was issued on Friday and she received it Monday morning.
Timeline: Applied for I-129 Fiancee Visa on 12/13/02through Nebraska service center. Received first NOA on 12/18/02. Approval of application on 4/2/02. Drop off of paperwork at St. Lukes on 4/16/02. Visa issued on 5/24/02. Carmen's arrival in Minnesota.......very soon I hope.
Many, many thanks to all the folks at MAG-ANAK and on PLANET LOVE who gave me advice and answered my questions. Everything that I did right was because of all the information that was shared with me. I really hope that this is the start of many more visas for the rest of you who are waiting. I certainly feel very blessed and lucky that I have this good news to share. Bill
