How much should I plan on spending?

Given airfare of 1k, other than that how much should I plan on spending for 2 weeks in Beijing, just trying to get a ballpark idea.

I usually figure $250-$300 per day for most civilized places - but then again, I usually like to find the best eating establishments. Most people will tell you you can get by for much less, but I like enjoying myself and not worrying about little expenditures.

no comment, i posted two huge helpful hints for travelling for you way down below, on what to pack , how to travel etc etc, not even an acknowledgement from you, much less a thanks.
when people take the time to post helpful letters, you should thank them, i always try to make a point to do that.
