Anyone, familiar with the location "Tops" over looking Cebu City? I have never been, but heard a little about it and was wondering if there is any resturants there with a nice view?

Jicelle and I went up all the winding roads to "Top" park, its a tad overrated but the ride up and up and UP was quite fun. There is a restaurant close to the top that the driver recommended, but it does not open before 5 pm and we never made it back up. Apparently the view  of Cebu's city lights is quite spectacular at night. By the way, Jicelle just completed St. Lukes medical and is awaiting the delivery of her K-1 at sis house in Calaoocan. Hope it will be a short wait, then she just needs to go back for CFO stamp. It sure is nice to finally get to this point in the process! My best to everyone, MOG

Although I don't know too much because I've never been there, perhaps Mr. A's restaurant.  I have an e-mail pal who sent me a picture of herself there at a company party.  The background is very scenic.  She's standing outside, apparently on top of a mountain.  Inquire about Mr. A's.

Hi Steve, thanks for the info, yup I am going to torture myself by going over there again. Seems like I can't get RP out of my head since my first mission back in 89'. But this time I am going for myself, a quick short trip, I wanted to see some things I have never seen before and just relax and enjoy the view. Cebu and Dumaguete are main targets on the agenda.

try going to a beach called Antulang.  It's only a 45-minute drive from Dumaguete.  If you stay at Bethel Hotel, they have a Travel Agent/Office right beside the Front Desk that can help you.

It's a place that I found to be very peaceful and not crowded.  The last time I was there,  there were only about 5 of us booked at the resort.

The water and the beach could be a miniature Boracay.  And they have this unit (complete with a kitchenette and a terrace) perched on a rock on the sea.  Sitting out on the terrace on a moonlit-starry night with the waves lapping below is just something I will never forget.

Hey Zebson,

Nice to see that you're still around and headed back to the Philippines. In the Philippines my eyes burn from the sweat, take 3 showers a day, get covered with mosquito bites, shake hands with lepers, eat rice until it's coming out of my ears, bang my head in jeepneys and my knees on tricycles and a million other great things...I can't wait to go back! Enjoy the torture! ;o))

Dave, Wow...now I know I will enjoy it. I never really had too many of those bothersome problems you mentioned. My biggest problem was suffering The horror of constant wiplashes I got from trying to keep up with looking at all the beautiful women walking around.

Hey Zeb,

I forgot about the whiplash problem. My fiancee was usually around, so I was mostly spared that agony. However, I got "eyeball strain" instead. I would try to keep my head facing straight ahead, while straining my eyes to the corner, to catch a glimpse of a passing lady. I bought mirrored spy sunglasses for my next trip. 8o)) Unfortunately, they make me look like I need a white cane. Actually a cane would come in handy, since I will be walking forward and looking backwards. Too late...my wife has put some sort of spell on me...I can't keep my eyes off of her. 8o)
