My wifes sister (age 20)lives in Manila with her Filipino boyfriend.
It is very possible that the Filipino boyfriend has found another girl, and will be leaving my wifes sister to be with her.
What are the laws in the Philippines regarding situations like this? Can she get child support from him? How is it done, and is it typically an easy or difficult thing to pursue?
Btw, for some reason the baby has her last name, not his. Not sure what info is on the birth certificate.
The sister and the boyfriend have been living together for the past year or more.

Thanks,

Don

Hi Don
In RP Child carry the Mother's last name on birth certification if Parents are unmarried. I don't know about child support,  I paid it when my Son was there. greg

laws you say?  Pursue child support?
It'll never happen - not in this lifetime anyway.
