...just what it was that got Vicky's skirt in a knot over the submissive thing, I'll tell you. Please, Lori, special attention to this tale.
We were in the mall in the city. Shopping, of course. It was fairly crowded and Vicky was getting a bit crushed. So I told her to step in behind me and I'd act as icebreaker for her. I had both hands full of bags and I make a good snowplow. Every few seconds I would look back and ask her if she was still there. Frivolous, really, as she generally hangs on to my belt-loop when we have to do this. We finally got to the coffee shop for a well-deserved cappucino and latte'. As soon as I asked her what she wanted, and went to get it, like a good husband, for his poor wife who was worn out by spending his money, she was approached by two "womyn", if you get my drift. They started telling her she need not walk behind me and all their fem-nazi propaganda. Poor Asian woman, brought here to be a slave, you know the crap. She tried to explain that I was doing her a favor, not belittling her, and that she had spent a good deal of my money that day. They seemed to think that was all a part of the battered woman's syndrome or some such Bovine Fecal Deposit; denial, protecting the abuser, all that. Now, you can insult Vicky in her own person and she'll generally just sulk. You can intimidate her quite a bit as she is normally non-confrontational. (OBTW, I do neither) All she'll usually do is look for me to intervene. (Sic 'em, boy!) But you do NOT want to assault, even verbally, the family. Remember what I told you about the fat chick who bumped her and insulted my grandson? Well, when she finally figured out these boney, butt-ugly wenches were accusing me of abusing her, that lit the fuse. She gave them, in a combination of mostly English with Tagalog insults, the same letter she posted here a while back. But much more enthusiastically. They tried to back off and tell her that they "understood" and tried to give her women's-shelter business cards. They backed right into me, who heard her using Tagalog curses and thereby knew there was trouble (and hoping it wasn't for me) and decided to leave the serving line and see what was up.
Being between the devil and the deep, as it were, they started to sweat. Here was a rather severe-looking man dressed in black that they assumed was a wife beater, with a couple of scars showing, with a black scowl on his face. And a spitting-mad Asian woman on the other. Security showed up about then and it was all figured out. Boney broads were told to get out for continuing to bother a good customer (the guard had been detailed to help Vicky with her bags to the car once when she was shopping on her own, and he knew Vicky was a bona-fide black belt in shopping...and a good tipper ;-)) after she had told them to leave her alone. I asked him to get their names so I could sue, to leave an impression on them, and they left. I did look up the shelter and gave them a call and also gave them the names of the broads who were accosting people in the shelter's name, and asked the shelter if they wanted legal trouble.
So Vicky still had a flea in her ear, so to speak, when she wrote that post. I apologize to anyone who was insulted, as does Vicky, especially Lori.
What I DON'T understand is why Vicky considers herself to be all that submissive? Sure, if I'm grumpy she acts like she's walking around on eggshells or something, but she sure doesn't have any trouble keeping her own with anybody else when she wants to.
