Hi Outwest,
The tp and cr situation is pretty much world wide.
I remenber a time in Panama S.A. drinking at a
local watering hole.I could sit up at the bar
and sitting on a stool. and below my feet was a trough
that I could actually pee in. just another seafare adventure of mine

Hey Joe,

That reminds me of my old Pinto and my surfing days. I had a funnel and a hose running through a rust hole in the floorboard. With a cooler full of beer, soft drinks, and food on the front passenger seat, I could travel for days and only have to stop for fuel, an occasional nap, and download. I was seriously thinking about replacing the driver's seat with a porta-potty. ;o))) Eventually I worked up to a customized VW Camper, with a porta-potty in the back.

Hi Dave,
I have been to alot of watering-holes thur out the
world. But my favorite is in Kioshung Tiawan.
The out door cafe of cobra snakes, where you go
in and tell mama san.me want cobra blood.
she will take a live cobra snake string it up.
take a knife and cut the belly and drain the blood
in a cup and mix some wine house. then you have
the perfect drink to start your night.

Joe,

I spent a lot of time in Kaohsiung, but I guess I missed that place. Cobra blood? It couldn't taste much worse that 'Taiwan Whiskey'...

Hi Ray,
I guess you can remenber the kennedy hotel,in the
area of all the girlie bars.Sometime back in 1979.
I was introduce to cobra blood actually by a oldtimer
filipino sailor.  But what I can remenber the cafe
sat off from the Kennedy a few blocks away. The snakes
were small in size.  it's good to hear from you

                                    Thanks   joemc

I've heard plenty of Kennedy Hotel stories, myself. Always wanted to go - but that was then and this is now.

Hi Outwest,

I steal napkins from Jollibees...one at a time. LOL Don't tell security. I usually have a few in my pocket for special emergencies.

My wife can't get over the fact that in the US, you can take as much ketchup and napkins as you need at fast food restaurants and not be charged. She also can't believe that the plastic bags at the supermarket are free. I explained that it is hidden in the cost of the food. Now she knows why 5 people can eat for way less than $10 in the Philippines. ;o))

Hey out,

If you were ever in the military, you should know that you only need one sheet of TP to do the job, so you won't have to carry a backpack :-)
