This world is based on give-and-take. Who is exploiting whom in MOB?
If both parties are over the legal age, neither is exploiting the other, or both are exploiting. There is no such thing as only one side is exploiting the other. If both are exploiting, it is no longer exploitation by its very definition.
You often hear an argument that a rich American man is exploiting a poor FSU lady. It sounds as if a rich American man wonft exploit a poor American lady or a poor FSU lady wonft exploit a rich FSU man. Someone must be kidding. Is there any American parent who would be happy if his/her daughter wants to marry a poet who makes $20K a year? Hey, he is the nicest guy in the block. He is tall and handsome. He treats the daughter better than anyone else could, with his heart only though, of course, because he has no money. On the same block there is a surgeon who makes a million bucks a year. This surgeon loves the daughter but he is so busy he can only send her flowers and gifts. The M.D. has no other lady in his mind to marry. The poet and the surgeon love the daughter with equal intensity. Now as a parent which one would you want your daughter to marry? If you select the poet, I rest the case; donft read the rest of my writing because itfs a waste of your time.
Hey, you MOB guys, you are a mini-surgeon. The only difference between the surgeon above and you is the size of the block. Your block extends to FSU. You donft earn a million bucks a year but you have more time than the surgeon does and you have just enough money to go there and come back. Your asset is as good as millions to FSU ladies. Letfs turn the table around. No sane woman, unless she earns a lot of bucks or inherits millions, would seek for a husband financially wreck. No matter where she resides. She may be in USA, she may be in FSU, she may be in Germany or the Philippines. It doesnft matter. The bottom line is: (1) a man tries to take a full financial advantage to get the best possible woman to marry; and (2) a woman tries to utilize her attractiveness, e.g, her beauty or anything else, to get the best possible man who is financially secure. Many other factors might help but economics is the bottom line for the man and physical attractiveness is the bottom line for the woman.
I am talking about the starting point. The rest is up in the air. But if you cannot get to the starting point, you might as well forget the whole thing. Many FSU women have given up marriage because of economics. You are not an exploiter; rather, you are a savior who gives your fiancee the last chance. Nobody is forced to marry; it takes two to tango. Do you feel better now?
