After 3 wks in makati and puerto galera, i can honestly say i was dumb not to make this trip to the phils 5 years ago.
Such a wonderful country and its people i have never found. The sights and sounds and smells of manila and what other parts of the country i saw in my short stay, are amazing.
Traffic: You all know the answer to this one. Insane
Prices: Food, great, cabs, usually 100 peso for a loooooong ride across town in manila, best deal , manila zoo, 6 pesos, Hotel i spent 600 in 3 wks, next trip i will rent a condo for a month., 2dollars for a first run movie in SM megamall, by the way no tp in the fancy movie theatre, LOL
Puerto Galera, Hot, humid, sabang is not that great but the snorkling is amazing, private outrigger for all day, with driver and snorkles and fins, 20 bucks, best decision i ever made, white beach at sunset is awesome, jetskis are not cheap to rent, 2500 peso per hour there.

reality, rooster surgeon sews up the loser after the fight, 2 fights is enough for me, no breeze thought i would die in that place.
Things i did in Manila, rolerskate, zoo, bowling, million cab rides,
rode the slum trolly in alabang, more on that later, PICC walking by the bay at midnight, gave homeless family 50pesos, SM megamall, copied me and my penpals hands at body copier, ate fast food for breakfast.
My penpal and me got along so well, i cannot ever remember being with a woman who's company i enjoyed so much, I can see why all of you fans of the phils are so devoted to this wonderful country.
The heat and humidity really did not bother me that much, and the amount of things to do is mind boggling, Did not get a chance to dive but maybe next trip or the one after that i will spring for the 1000 or so it would cost me and my penpal , if anyone knows of any good deals on diving let me know.
I have not been on the board for about 5 or 6 months since i have been consumed with my business. How its on autopilot and i think i will spend about 3 or 4 months in the phils this year.
I want to post a trip report but am a little squeamish about posting my details and pics on the internet, i may relaz a little bit more on that issue.
Thanks for all the advice i have recieved from this board and its members in the past on phone cards, what to take to the phils etc etc.
By the way next trip is june, and I will fly Courier since the airlines jack the fares up so high i can save 400-700 dollars on the plane ticket.
