I are corresponding with a lady in Kiev, and she does not recomend that Americans come to the city at this time. She says that the policitians are all corrupt and cannot be trusted. I think that if one uses caution and common sense, that they would probably be fine, just as you would if you were traveling to Colombia

...The politicans are corrupt and can't be trusted?! No! Say it ain't so! Again, which country are we talking about here?

I are also corresponding with numerous people in Kyiv and they say it's not a problem. Why would it be? Frankly, (lol) anyone who would ask if it's safe to visit Ukraine at this time is  clueless. Have you ever been to Kyiv?

Besides, much of that crowd was celebrating the Revolution of 1917, Sunday was an old soviet holiday.

And of course using common sense and caution is advised, at any time. Same as in Columbia, NYC, San Francisco, Chicago...or even Hermitage, TN Wink

I have had SEVERAL people who LIVE in Ukraine tell me to wait till after the elections for traveling to Kiev. They mention civi unrest etc due to the elections. By the way this is my 4th trip to Ukraine so I have been there. By the way just curious LP are YOU married? You sound very bitter & negative all the time.

...Hi Frankie. Negative and bitter? Lol, that's me alright...I'll be on a tall building with a rifle anyday now.

I was asking David if he'd been to UA, not you. And you didn't ask if there was civil unrest, you asked if it was safe. It is, unless one doesn't fathom the people or is a candyass...or both. And if you're so trusting of your UA sources why would you even ask here? Doh!

So you believe there is a correlation between marriage, bitterness, and negativity? Or between marriage and happiness? Yikes, you've got a lot to learn. No wonder you come across as the typical MOB type on a mission. Nope, I'm not married but neither am I alone. I prefer it that way until something better comes along. Since I can go over for cheap anytime it strikes my fancy I'm having too much fun looking. Besides, I've never been on a mission...unlike some.

Any smuck can go over and find a girl to marry in a hurry. Especially  youngsters, there's 1000s of them waiting to sucker old guys. Doesn't take any brains to do that, on the contrary. You call that "success"? Or was it simply a personal effort to validate your twisted hypothesis?

...When the guy associated with the prior corrupt, lying, misleading and thieving administration wins you can expect massive civil unrest. Maybe not immediately but as the gullible population finally realizes they've been once again dupped it has to get nasty, there is simply no avoiding it.

And he'll win for sure. The ignorant country pesants, the religous freaks, the cronies of the prior administration as  well as the special interests he's long held in his pocket will see to it. The small majority he now holds is only too happy to be dupped and deluded into thinking more of the same is the right path for the country while overwhelming evidence points to the contrary. As long as he's able to manipulate the populace and make them live in fear he's a shoe in.

He'll say things will be different this time around, he'll say he's learned from the previous guy's mistakes but he hasn't. You watch, he'll do *exactly* what the prior guy did, dragging the country further down and impeding it's progress while robbing it of what little respect it has left in the civilized world. The result will be anarchy and rebellion as the razor thin majority he now holds evaporates and those dupped will finally come to their senses and join the intelligensia who knew better all along. It's the only possible solution at this point and who could blame them? Be afraid, be very afraid.

Oh, sorry...you were asking about Ukraine. Of course it's safe, thats a stupid question.

Let's see, 90% American counties dumb and the Left Coast,  New England and a few midwestern population centers smart.  What arrogance (and sourgrapes). Get used to it, the Traditional America, the Heartland, is going to rule from here on out! Read 'em and weep!

Sorry LP but I couldn't resist - and you asked for it Smiley

...I was talking about Ukraine, even Bill thinks so Wink

Smart? Silicon Valley, Stanford, Yale, Harvard, MIT, Stanford. Where are they located? Besides, the question isn't whose smart, the question is how 61 million people could be so dumb. 90%? As I said, razor thin. His time will come, history is on my side.

And I nearly did weep...as would any true patriot.

A true *American* patriot is:

1. A Constitutionalist
2. A libertarian/conservative
3. An antisocialist
4. A free-enterprise economics defender and promoter
5. Is against redistribution of the wealth
6. Is against the welfare state
7. Opposes activist judges who legislate from the bench
8. Understands and defends principles of federalism
9. Understands that the federal government exercises vast powers not delegated to it in the Constitution - and opposes this usurpation
10. Understands, agrees with and defends America's Christian
heritage
11. Opposes abortion on demand because they know it is murder of the innocent
12. Opposes the evil and Satanic homosexual agenda
13. Believes that folks should work honestly and hard for
what they get as opposed to looking for a government handout
14. Opposes infringement of national sovereignty by supranational and international bodies
14. Yes, opposes unnecessary and unwise military ventures such as Iraq (anyone who opposes Afghanistan is a lunatic)
15. Is esteeped in the foundational history of our American *Republic* meaning they know and understand what the American Revolution was about, what its underpinnings were, has read all of the writings of all of the Founding Fathers and cherishes and defends what they sacraficed for.
16. Knows what "natural law" is and means and believes in it and will defend it
17. Knows and understands the relation between Magna Charta and the Declaration of Independence
16. Had studied Cooke and Blackstone
17. Has studied the Federalist Papers (part of 15 actually)

LP, your side, which considers the above list Greek (talk about dumb) will only lose more and more. The writing is on the wall. We the conservative and God fearing America are tired of  all of the liberal, humanist, socialist, politicaly correct, immoral, pagan, hedonist, self centered, selfish, and elitist crap of your sick and morally bankrupt side of America. Your time is over. Get used to it. California and New England will never rule America. Period.

However, you did say one thing that is true. You been studying the Bible lately? Your right. There *will* come a day when you pagan abortion homo loving world socialist elitists will have America all to yourselves. But it won't be a bowl of cherries in those days, I guarantee.

Just remember, the longer you wait the harder it gets. Just remember Pharoh.

Good luck.

To the "True American Patriot" -

Years ago I met Judge Robert Bork at a book signing.  I was a brand new lawyer working for a big firm, making big bucks (while whining that I was paying taxes), wearing Rush Limbaugh ties and married to the conservative theology.  I thought Judge Bork was brilliant.  I still do, but now disagree with many of his opinions.

As is the custom, Judge Bork was asking everyone what they wanted him to write with the autograph.  The guy in front of me said "Please write Robert Bork, a patriot".  Judge Bork responded, "I'll be happy to write 'to a patriot' but I will not claim that title for myself".  He wasn't posturing.  He wasn't joking.  He was dead serious.

Maybe we should all think a little bit harder before pronouncing ourselves "patriots".

I lived in the Bible Belt for 18 years, so I understand your sentiments, although I disagree with them. And I know that the majority of men seeking wives in the FSU agree with your list. The Irony is, however, that most FSU women prefer not only the Blue Sates themselves but feel more of a connection to the "Blue State mentality." Everyone over here hates Bush. One of Yanukovich's dirty ad campaigns was to print fake Yushinka posters in which George Bush endorses Yushinka. Oh yes, Putin likes Bush, but that is only because he sees an America under Bush as one that loses its credibility around the world.

Don't believe me? when you meet the parents of the woman you want to marry, tell them how much you like Bush and how you think the war in Iraq is a good thing (yes, I did read your list WmGo, and I realise you oppose the war, but most of your ideological compadres think it's the right thing)......you'll get roasted

[This message has been edited by WmGo]

Good point on cultural mentality of most FSUW re red vs. blue states - all of which I am very aware. This reality flows from the the fact that most FSU people are atheists, as they were taught by the good ole' communists. Hence, they naturally feel more affinity for the "blue" states.

Don't worry, I would not pursue a relationship with an atheist women from an atheist family - not here or there, not in a box with a fox, no thanks.

But the point and the reality should be born in mind by any man pursuing FSUW. Most do not realize the profound differences and the one you point out is a serious one - one based more out of fundamental ignorance and and the absence of real moral values and principles, but a real one nonetheless.

Regards.

Actually, the good ol' communists had a lot more in common with the red state mentality--lack of tolerance for people different than themselves (or for people with different ideas), jingoism, sexual repression, ideological blinders (different ideology, of course),an attitude of giving the masses just enough to keep them quiet while siphoning off the country's wealth for the elite, and the inability to think outside of a simple black/white world view. I've always thought the political spectrum to be circular, and the further "right" you go, the closer you get to the "left."

I do agree that communism did a number on these people, however, one that will take generations to overcome, if ever. Communism robbed them of their inability to "think outside the box" (my personal biggest frustration over here), robbed them of a sense of empathy, and robbed them of a sense of hope.
