I think the board used to be more friendly before i left about 6 months ago, almost any post would invite friendly, replies.

I must say after being gone 6 months the board has become somewhat
"clique" oriented, or else maybe im just invisible,

after posting my pseudo trip report and observations, i got absolutely zero response other than, what courier do u plan to fly.

6 months ago i would have gotten 5 or 6 replies, saying , hey man glad you finally made it, welcome back to the board, ive been to that place too, blah blah blah, etc etc,

the board seems like now, if  you arent one of the "in" crowd, your posts get somewhat ignored.

Good to see you back!  I throroughly enjoyed your report, but have been so busy getting my life back on track lately that I have been reduced to lurker status here

It's funny, I was thinking the same thing the other day about how lame the board has been lately, but figured it was just because so many are busy with their Mahals.

I'm glad you had such a positive expirience over there,  It is a wonderful place to hag out for a while.  I'm planning a trip this summer, maybe we'll be there at the same time and can hook up  I'll buy yeah dinner or soomethin'

Oh sure outwest.Bash the courier guy I thought asking about courier was a good question:) Really though I appreciate everyones input on the philippines and the trip reports are great.I just lurk more than post because I am a cheechako so I do not have any filipina references.Thanks for the info on jupiter.

from my experiences, the loser ALWAYS was either left in the ring to be thrown away or taken backstage to the cooks to be sold as chicken stew.(too tough for KFC ;-). could it be that you observed the WINNER being operated on to fight another battle and bring the owner another handsome payoff.

an enjoyable if but short report, so let's hear all the 'juicy' details.

'twas not so long ago that i saw you posting all kinds of Q's about the PI with a hint of skepticism. now that you've actually been there, could there be a better advice to a contemplating newbie than to say "JUST DO IT!!.?

the title of your post shocked  me at first lol, yes
perhaps the rooster being sewn up was the winner,
the loser of the first fight was in no shape to be sewn up
the second im not sure which was being sewn up.

On the subject of saving the life of the loser: I was told by some knowledgeable Filipinos that if you can patch up the loser in a cockfight, he will often come back meaner than ever and all the wiser for having had his ass whooped in the past.

Hi Jeff,

Personally, I would die! I am really attached to mine. ;o))My wife's family had many cocks and often won. She always refused to eat it, because it is tough and stringy.
