view to say "black" There are whites,spanish whom talk like this.The whites that talk like this are called "wigga's"
It's Ghettho slang like in the 70's there was some saying's that are still around being said! You cant just blame "black's" or rap music(rap music hasnt invented ghettho slang)(its a  opera of the strugles of the "hood") heavy metal music has some so -called ghettho lang in it! That is very harsh statement to make.The reason they were spekaing like that cold,was one very simple reason is so you wouldnt know what it is.
Belive me growing up in the ghettho and living in the so called ghettho i know all the slangs words!(not being proud of it) it does help out to know.
                          I may not be so called book smart,But im very street wise!
I could easily translate that for you! now someone on this board will rip me apart for this But hey life is life.
Cold: I can go in depth why they were speaking to you like this,and it may make sense or  may not to you.Street talk will never go mainstream
COLD:IM my city,there is a HUGE russian population the teens and people of 18-25 speak like this and there russian,(making up of all of the FSU!)
My point is that its the lang of the younger gen! so men if your looking
for a YOUNGER RUSSIAN WIFE! Then its best to start learning some street slangs some ghettho words,some street words.Cause once she gets around and starts to meet younger americans if she is in the age rang of 18-30
its best to be abreast of whats going on!!Cause we all know younger ones like to hang with younger one's cause there minds are not fully matured,and act on inpulse and you will start having a RW,say 'thats mad cool,forsnixzzle the paper" "why arent you makiing any paper,fo sure,No doubt"

The ghettho slang is a opera of the struggles of the so called "hood"
It's the lang of the people,there daily life! It's there hardships
there dreams,goals,and what and what not!

I am not bashing anyone for the street lang. If you understand each other that's OK by me. However I hope these guys also learn good standard English that they can use on a job, university etc. I agree that's its not a black thing in fact every language has its version of street lang including the Russkies.

Cold: That is a very good point you bring up.The problem is the stigma of the "black male" "black female"  is that they do speak like that on a job,They do use it in university setting,family setting.They never apply the good standard english,whites use every day.It's a shame,But it has in a way made it to the mainstream.Universty's have been teaching
Ebonics for over 5 years now(some univerty's)
It's a shame but it's "hood talk" "project rat talk"
That in communities Like clev,boston,LA,Miami,jacksonville,
New york,etc! MY point is if you Marry and settle down with a lady whom falls in the age of 18-30 she may meet freinds
whom most likely be white americans whom want to act like a so called "wigga" and start speaking Like that.Cause she is young and she wants to fit in,also if she is of open mind,and Has latino freinds,Mabe even some black freinds
There going to speak like that! its no denying it.

Hey GMen

I don't know where you acquired the vast life experience necessary to generalize how young black men and women speak in every setting across the nation, but as the father of an adopted black son and daughter, let me clue you in.  My kids speak perfectly normal American English.  They did when they were 10 and 12 when I came into their life and they do now at the ages of 20 and 22 (so it's not my white influence).  I have seen them in almost every possible social situation and their language changes only when they are joking with friends or getting over on a naive outsider.  They usually find what you are calling "wiggas" (they don't use the term) quite humorous.

Language and behavior are functions of many factors, from education to economics to "how they were raised" (as my ex-wife would say).  Keep your generalizations to your own experiences.  By the way, I live in New York and none of the black lawyers that are my partners have problems with their English.  There's a whole world out there that most of us have not seen and never will see.  Don't assume that an FSU wife's child will suffer speech dysfunction merely by meeting black kids.  I'd be more concerned that they meet good kids of any color.

Young black men or white men or black women or white women
fall into this as a early age.YOu,have been lucky to go to school and become a lawyer! YES YOUR CHILDREN may have been taught at a early age to nip that in the bud.I grew up in projects,i grew up in bed stuy for some time.I grew up in many area's that had this.
OK,Your lucky to be and teach your son's and daughters perfect english.what about mothers whom didnt or fathers.
I dont generalize Ive seen it for my eyes.I saw how project mothers raise there kids.I Have lived in area's that have had this problem.Of course The many lawyers you speak about never speak about that.Your chidren and you admited speak like that,that WAS MY WHOLE POINT! yOU SAID "getting over on a naive outsider" THATS THE SAME STATEMENT i made.They did it cause they knew he could not undertsand them(thats the point) if you read my post about what it is.I also said,some never apply them selves.LOOK children and they do make fun of "wigga's" everyone does.I am a product of the ny school systems.HENCE MAYBE thats why my post's are misread,come across as wrong.I had to learn this on my own

and i work part time,helping people out and i speak to many people
so i have seen what it has become with speaking.sorry to offend you if i did.That was never my intentions.I also Volunteer my time,helping many with drug problems.I also make it a point to help many out whom are less
fortunate then i am.I have worked and shared freindships with all people
I NEVER SAID ALL BLACK MEN AND WOMEN SPEAK LIKE THIS.I personally love it! its interesting!

Your limited observations and view of the world do not qualify you to make general judgments about an entire race.  Your judgment is no more valid than those of people who believe FSU women are all gold diggers and every American who seeks one is a loser.

Are you really going to blame the New York school system for your views?  Please. I have seen far too many kids from this system do just fine in college and in life to buy that canard.

My point is that parents need to know who their kids are spending time with and learn more about them than the color of their skin.

No,again you miss my point! I said Not for my views am i blameing the nys school system,for my grammer and my teachers not properly teaching us! For my views,hey im the first to tell you.I have many views that are far out!
The miles i walked and the shoes i worn,have some stories
as for the Lawyers in your firm,whom happen to be of color,the reason they dont speak like that,is for many reason's.Im not going to jump into that puddle.I know im pissing way many people off in this.BUt I only speak my mind
Personally,I have and will work my butt off,Yes I do Undertsand alot more,then it comes across as abableing moron
But I have also worked my butt off trying to pay for school and also,mind you! Its been rough,BUT AT LEAST IM TRYING
