Hello Rags, What time-line do you expect on your I-751 here in California?

I filed my wife's I-751 on 6/27, we received her receipt from Homeland Security on 7/05....a lot quicker than we expected.

I assume we should receive her green card renewal before Sept. 28 when her green card expires....not sure how long till the permanent green card is to sent though.

Any idea?

Our receipt said about 11 months to process her I-751 which I assume includes an interview at the local BHS office. My wife's card has already expired but the NOA stated that it was an extension for one year and could be used for travel/employment in conjunction with the expired card.

Yes, our receipt indicates 330 days (11 months) waiting time also.

I was wondering because we are hearing it may only take 6 to 8 months based on word of mouth experience from others we know.

Not sure about the interview though, we were told it is an automatic renewal....or maybe that has changed recently?

No interview, that would be nice... I was just going by what the guy at our AOS interview told us (two years ago).

My wife tells me that one of her friends just needed to show up in person to get the stamp in her passport, and bring along the old greencard...but not surrender it.
