Hi folks,
I have seen some posts that a few, would write
and speak tagalog,or other native tongue.
I would like to know is it important to know your
spouses language.  Early in our marriage I asked my wife,
if she was going to teach our kids to speak tagalog or
ilocano. Her answer was, not to teach our kids.
Why I ask this question, I am puzzle that my son
relates more to white people. As for the daughter
all her close friends are filipinas. And as for myself,I
understand ilocano more than I can speak it.
I think a lesson to be learned here, please encourage
your spouse to teach you her language and culture in
      the household.

for what it worth , that's my  two cents.
