This is driving me nuts. Now the Rabbi's are all against the idea of putting a discernable marking on the front of the propsed ILLEGAL aliens driver's license to identify them as such (likening it to the Star of David that the Jews were forced to wear in Nazi Germany). GIVE ME A BREAK! These people are not suppose to even be IN this country and here they want us to give them the privilege to drive. They broke one of the most serious laws that we have by entering into our county (illegally) and now we are suppose to expect them to follow our laws about driving and having insurance? PLEASE, give me a break.

I would like to see them offered something else... a one way ticket back to where they are suppose to be and prison time if they try to come back again. I'll pay the extra price for losing the cheap labor and put someone who is suppose to be here in a job.

How "understanding" would the BCIS be if I failed to submit my wife's I-751 on time even though she went through the proper channels and was approved to be here? Immediate deportation proceedings would be started against her!

The Governator has better watch his back or he'll be out faster than Davis.

California appears to be a lot more liberal than Florida where I live.  My wife's mother is here on a visa and my wife applied for an official state ID card for her at the driver's license place (I think just so if something happened to my mother-in-law, she could be traced to where I live) and the card actually has an expiration date on it that corresponds to the date her visa expires.  I don't know why an ID card will expire but from my point of view it is a bit of a pain because my wife's mother has multiple entries on her visa so when she leaves and comes back I guess to be legal she will have to reapply for her ID card and the thing took more than 6 weeks to arrive after the application.  Seems like politicians are either too liberal giving driver's licenses to illegal aliens or too conservative putting expiration dates on something as simple as an ID card.

Sorry to hear of the stupidity that goes on in California.  I am even more sorry that the rest of the country follows California or New York City.  Is there any hope at all for this country?

any baby born on its soil. The voters changed the law because it was being abused.
A doctor friend told me a story, he was working as an intern in a San Antonio hospital. An obvious wetback had gone to Austin to have her baby. On her trip back to Mexico, the baby became very ill. She went to the emergency room in San Antonio. She kept asking "where is birth certificate", and not, how is my baby!

... in response to Ireland, until last week, gave citizensh..., posted by jrm on Jun 27, 2004

We should do the same thing as Ireland as a first step.  I would like to see shoot on sight at the border.  Once we kill and maim a bunch of them trying to cross illegally the flow of wetbacks will significantly slow. I heard we now are stationing roving aerial drones along the border with Mexico and along the great lakes where it seems the Shiits arabs from Canada into Michigan seem to be flowing in to help stop the flow of illegals.  That is something being done in the right direction.  It all goes back to the Johnson administration and subsequent Democratic congressional control.  No matter how badly one might disagree with certain Bush policies there is no choice when we vote this November.  Bush must win.

Illegals were pardoned by whom? Certainly not by Clinton.
Saying is one thing but doing is another.

Also remember: Months after Atta smashed the plane into one of the WTC towers, he received an extention to his visa. Check out who the President of the U.S. was at that time. Atta filed his application long after Clinton was out of his office.

I agree. Just being born on American soil should not make one an American if they are parents are from a foreign country. I have always said this. . All illegal aliens should be shipped out of the country. I have another radical plan. If people come to this country, Illegally, they go in the armed forces to serve in Iraq and Afganstan.  This would be a great immigration policy. Also, all prisoners in this country would serve in such a capacity. What effect would this have on crime and immigration?

Hey Beattle, if you run for office I would sure vote for you!!

One idea I have thought of with regards to the prisoners you mentioned. One day it will come to this, the sooner the better but probably not in my lifetime, but one day  their will be a wall built from Brownsville, Texas to San Diego as well on our Canadian border.  We could take prisoners who were not the hard core guys, not the murders, drug dealers, rapist type guys, but other type prisoners and allow them to work on the wall in order to shorten their sentence. Everyday, or every two days, worked would knock off one day in the pen.

If you get to office maybe you might consider this.

arrive at the realization that the entire world does not revolve around the "US of A"!
Maybe a revisitation of 'Foreign Policy' and respect for those who choose to disagree with the "US of A" ?
Maybe a little less "corporatization" and more "Humanism" ?
I've lived (and worked) in 9 countries including the "US of A" and each had both positives and not-so-positives.
Just as you love your country, many others love their countries too.
On second thought, maybe a large fence is a good idea - sort of like "containment" ?    :-))

Del, I consider myself a true-blue American just as you consider yourself a true-blue Canadian.

And yes I think were a good country, always did. Then, I went to the FSU. I saw a different side to people I had not seen here. I saw thousands of beautiful women who could safly walk home late at night. I did not hear sirens going off all the time, or gun shots in the distance. I did not see the crime in Russia or Ukraine that I saw at home. Oh sure there is crime in the FSU, absolutely, but not nearly as many shooting, daily robberies, assults, rapes, that we have in our own country.

Their is a LOT to be like and desired with many aspects of life in the FSU. There is bad as well, but when you weigh the overall good to bad ratio, I think most guys who spend any time in Ukraine, in Russia and other countries of the FSU, will agree that the good certaintly outweighs the bad by a good margin.

Once you can see how other people and society's live, one can useally come away with just how their own country has a lot to improve on.

It was Ronnie Raygun that first granted mass immunity to the wets (to gain their political support). And every president since has done the same, or tried.
Go into the emergency room in any Austin hospital and you would think you are in Mexico, except for the doctors. They know they can get medical care and won't have to pay. Also free education for their children, social services, etc. and guess who is footing the bill!

has another benefit other than the political support for one party or another. Once they are in the system as a US citizen, the government is able to place a bond on them by way of their account # [not the SS#] and borrow money against that bond to do business----just like they have with you and I since shortly after we were born. In effect imigrants/aliens, wheather from the FSU or Mexico, have a new birth into commerce when they become the corporate US citizen.

....The boys in Sacratomato need to get a grip alright but whatdaya expect from the Land of Fruits and Nuts? Next thing ya know the hombres among 'em will be marrying each other. Did you happen to catch the recent episode of South Park where all the "go backs" return from the future? Lol, the town's people had a solution that would fit right in here. Or we could keep sending them to die in Iraq, that'll solve the problem for both sides. Citizenship bestowed upon death, what a concept and only in America. Buck up, it could be worse: They could all be citizens running casinos raking in billions while not paying taxes because of something that happened hundreds of years ago.

The People's Republic of Kalifornia, American livin just doesn't get any better does it? Ah well, at least the WX is nice...

In case you haven't noticed the entire country has huge problems. It's about as screwed up as it's ever been and in more ways than you could ever imagined, not because of the melting pot but because of how it's stirred. Not to mention a madman is running it. If I were the Big Guy it'd be apocalypse now.

Hey, what do you think about Russian women? Aren't they just awesome? Wink
