Has anyone recently filed a DCF in Kyiv? How long will it take to have the interview? The reason I ask, I will be arriving in Kyiv July 16 and filing the DCF the following week. I will be staying in Ukraine for most of the Summer and return with my wife after she gets ger visa from Warsaw.

... in response to DCF, how long to wait for Interview?, posted by JoeC2003 on Jul 7, 2004

Hi JoeC2003!  My wife, Anna, and I filed our DCF in Kyiv at the end of April 2003.  At that time we were able to take the sealed envelope and send it DHL to Warsaw for her exit interview which was scheduled about 4 weeks later.  Normally they will send the paperwork through the diplomatic mail carrier but that can add another week depending on when you file so we opted for DHL.  You may want to check to see if Kyiv is doing the exit interviews now since we were told that that would be the case beginning 9/03.

If you must go to Warsaw I assume you will take the train from Kyiv?  Good luck and try to enjoy the experience.  My wife and I laugh about this now but I was not happy with this trip.  If you are interested why then simply ask.

If you need any other info about this just ask or email me as I will be happy to help.

Best of luck.
Allen
