At least they were able to witness some good old fashioned American hospitality.  I'm certain if they had travelled within their country and met the same situation, they would be in far worse shape...

Of course, if we were stranded in Russia, we might be treated well also.  Russians tend to be very friendly towards Americans.  I wouldn't want to bet my well being on it though...
