Anna talked to the people at Borispol and they agreed to make an announcement when the flight came in to see them. Just after she got off of the telephone explaining everything to her brother, her father called to see how he was doing and her brother explained all. They are now safely together in Kyiv and ready to take the train to Krivoy Rog tomorrow.
I was, and am still, shocked at the foolishness of this Canadian law. Even if she didn't have to get off of the plane she still would have to have a transit visa. I thought we had a lot of idiots in our government but appearantly the Canadian politicians are in a contest with ours to see who can show less logic. From now on we only travel from Chicago to Kyiv via Frankfurt or Copenhagen.
