Sorry, old boy, but the work I did does not allow me to have my likeness posted on the internet. There are people who would love to know what I really look like. In fact, the ISP I post from is one of a series of firewalls I use to keep my true identity private.

But Vicky was stunning. And I am not Lakota, I am Blackfoot. I know, to y'all it is about as much difference between a Manila girl and a Cebu girl. We all look alike, eh? ;-)

You can use your imagination. A tallish, Blackfoot warrior dressed in full regalia of feathers and buckskins, decorated with dyed porcupine quills and shell beads, in paint. And a slender, willowy, beautiful Blackfoot maiden in white doeskin dress, full length, decorated, with her hair done up in twin braids, wearing doeskin mocs, with a robe of rabbit fur. Remember the wedding from A Man Called Horse? Sort of like that. Vicky is even prettier in jeans and a doeskin fringed shirt, with knee length mocs, riding with me on the ranch. Prettier than the girl in On Dangerous(Deadly) Ground (whichever, the S. Segal flick).

I am probably the only one here who has seen a picture of her, and must agree she is a beauty. And she definitely looks 10-15 years younger than her real age.

Don't worry, Don, the computer I had that photo on has long since been retired, and I wiped the gif off the hard drive before I turned it off.

Regards, Tim

Oh, that wasn't necessary! You can keep her pic if you like. Let me know and I will resend it to you. I trust you.

The description was perfect, too. I remember the wedding in A Man Called Horse. Wasn't there a blackfoot wedding in Jeremia Johnson, also? I thought you'd posted something before about Sioux. Anyway, the girl in the Segal flick isn't a Native American though, she's Joan Chen, a Chinese actress who Mrs. Mao Tse Tung spotted on a rifle range and convinced to start acting in movies. She was also in "The Last Emperor."

Yeah, I know, but she was the only cute gal I could think of that wore jeans and a buckskin shirt in the movies lately in a Native American context.

Joan C. was also in "The Blood of Heroes", a strange little Sci-fi movie. She stared opposite Rutger Hauer.

Wow, 3 posts in a row for me. I'm on a roll.

(Dave will know that one Shocked))

Well Jeff, I've been waiting for a picture of our man Ray but after all this time I don't think it's going to happen.  It's funny though, you know how the mind, inevitably, will develop an image of a person that you've come to know but never seen?  That's what has happened with Ray; I've already got a picture of him in my head.  He looks just like Abraham Lincoln Shocked)))
