SMS

I do not have a cell phone and have only vaguely heard of SMS.

Some ladies tell me I can send them free SMS to their cell phones at
http://gsm.goldentele.com/vat/sms_send.html

I checked there, and it is in Russian with no English version that I could see.

Anyone have any experience here?  What goes in what blocks, and how complete does the phone number have to be, etc.

Phone numbers are something like 38 039 555 1212.

Any other sites that allow sending SMS for free, and that are in English?

If your lady has internet access, make her get an ICQ account.  Then you can append her cell phone number to her account number and you can send her SMS messages via ICQ.

SMS = Short Messaging Service

It is a brief text message system for cell phones.  Another older standard is CDPD (Cellular Digital Packet Data).

I send SMS to my fiancee by email. I send it to an email like this 380675555555@2sms.kyivstar.net and she sends me SMS to my email. It works great.

Since she uses Kyivstar for her phone I can also go to Kyivstars website and use that to send her SMS. Here is the English site if yours uses Kyivstar.

This is what she said

"at 1 i put your email then @message@ and then i send on 555 thats all"

She uses Kyivstar but if your girl has problems just have her call the company and they can tell her how to do it.
