... in response to Question, posted by terry on Apr 23, 2002.. it has been ingrained in them since birth that that a marriage is a team, each partner contributing what he or she does best, each supporting and standing by each other. In eastern philosophy, the good of the group (family in this case) supercedes the desires of the individual. There's a patience and interdependence in eastern thought that's the opposite of what we've come to believe are admirable qualities in westerners. You know, "the duke" rugged individualism, we can do it on our own and don't need anybody's help for anything. Is is a shock when women adopt this philosophy also? Especially when so many men dump thier wives in search of fresh meat once their hair starts thinning?
I could go on for hours about the advantages of an Asian wife, but let the numbers speak for themselves. The majority of posters on this board are married or engaged, and even many of those who are divorced from asian wives have or are going back looking for another. How many guys on the Russian or Latin boards can say that?
