As you all know by now, I am a real hard ass about this, No English, No e-mail . . .  then no go.  I have another rule also.  I will not deal with out of town ladies.  Tried it once, spent 10 times the amount of time corresponding with that lady than with any others working on the timing trip details, etc.  Then you lose a lot of time when they are actually going to come because you have to cut it off with other ladies early, make trips to airport, train station, etc., and then repeat all the lost time you could be meeting with other ladies when they go back to station, etc.  Anyway, again I am not interested in arguing this point and won't.

Back to the story.  I happened to be on-line at one of the match sites and got an instant message that said, 'please take a look at my profile.'  So I did, and it was a very nice looking late 40s woman, but she lived in another town.  I sent her a nice message saying thanks, but no thanks and told her I would not consider any one who did not live in my target town.  But she quickly got back to me with another picture.  Then she sent me another instant message saying she often comes to my target city, so it would be no problem for her.  I said thanks but no thanks.  Then she sends me another picture and says that she has friends she can stay with so she would be no bother.  I say thanks but no thanks.  She instant mails me back with another picture and says, 'can you really say no to me?'

It wasn't just the pictures, but I got to thinking (this all took place in about 5 minutes, she is quite hot on the computer skills), this is the most I have ever been pursued by any woman.

So I said to her:  OK, OK, so I have been a little hasty here; lets start exchanging some regular longer messages.

Well, how will this all turn out?  I don't know.  I hope it doesn't all turn out to be a time killer like before, but who knows.

My wife was also very persistent. She wrote me regular mail & said on her FIRST letter "I think you should come visit me soon." VERY blunt. I liked that. Then after I started calling her she said her family had a room set aside for me & would pick me up at the airport etc. Well it was a risk but hey they came through on EVERYTHING. Her & her father picked me up at the airport & had a room waiting for me. Also had a nice dinner prepared for me & everything. I mean her family went out of the way for me. I was thrilled. That night over our dinner I fell in love with my wife. I proposed the NEXT DAY. I know everyone here will say it's stupid, crazy etc....don't care to hear it man. We're HAPPILY married & my in laws are GREAT!!! By the way she lives in a city 60 miles west of Kiev. Another thing I thought was VERY VERY COOL....when I went over there & my wife had to explain something in terms of distance she knew it in MILES!!! I asked her about that as Ukrainians ALL use metric. She said "I wanted to learn it for YOU!". Man how could I NOT appreciate that?! Also she had a song she wrote & had her sister play keyboard & accompany her & she sang it for me. I don't speak Russian (yet) but man she had my heart in hands that evening.
Be careful though. E mail/computer skills are cheap. ACTION is what matters.

Yes Frank I know exactly what you're talking about. The good ones have more charm then we mortal western men can withstand. My sweet wife did everything right on my first trip to see her, and I knew by the end of my trip that she had charmed her way into my heart for good.  She is the most incredible woman I have ever known and I want for nothing with her.  It's always great to hear the success stories out there.  Too often we tend to here about the relationships that didn't work.

right about that Mark. I started to hear so many stories about the failures etc that I got really turned off for a while. But overall it was very easy for me. It just happens I wasted about a year with Marina & I've known Diana 1 year & have already been married to her going on 5 months this Friday the 16th.

Have you started up a good correspondence with her yet?  Is she following up with you?
