and are the letters you receive mass mailings are they from "real" women? Kinda expensive $8 bucks to read a letter.

I used to work for them as an interpreter. That was back in 1997 and already at that point there were a lot of rumors going around about them (not very pleasant, I must add). I’d be just very careful with them…

Hmmm…. Just a mere curiosity, I guess – both professional and personal. I used to work for several marriage agencies back in St.-Petersburg, Russia. That was before I married one of my clients five years ago. Ever since, I moved to the US, graduated from WCSU, and despite all the difficulties, described here, I am still holding on to my family (doing my best, at least Smiley. Although, I didn’t come to the States on fiancé’s visa, I can easily relate to some of the topics discussed on the forum. Just trying to help if I can.

I also go back to Russia every summer (staying there the whole season). So, if there is anyone in need of a guide/interpreter – I’ll be glad to provide the high quality service (to the question of my professional interest in this forum).

Anastasia always bugs me to place my profile for free… don’t do it. You will become part of the food chain.

What works for me is a little of everything. You will find scammers everywhere now a days. But you will find good ladies everywhere too! Be informed and careful and navigate your way through these options, and use everything.

Sooner or later she will be there and you will know it. Good luck!

I used them back in 2000 for a Moscow "tour" and placed an ad in their men's catalog.

The tour was way overpriced and the "socials" packed with scammers (and worse) but I had a good time anyway ; )

Most of the "replies" to my ad had the top line (Dear XXXX) cut off and were very generic so I doubt that many intended for me. Some mentioned things that were not in my ad so I am sure that they were originally written to someone else. Most of the photos looked to be copies.

In 2001, the owner's MOB ran off with his tour manager and then took over the business so I really doubt if things have improved since then.

If you are looking for an "honest agency" I would suggest using firstdream.com as I personally know the owner and many of his people in Ukraine. As far as I'm concerned they are first rate and will go way above and beyond the call of duty to help you out.

Always wondering how your doing, I kick myself for not taking a picture  of you and your future wife while we were on main Blvd in Kiev, the first time we got to meet her.

How is the big city life treating you and the Mrs.  Is she driving now.  How is that little tomboy.

Has this been one of the best things you have ever done ?

Hey Bill, things are going pretty good right now and life is great with my Ukrainian woman by my side. My quest to find a wife in the FSU was definitely the most exciting and rewarding thing that I have done in my life.

Life in the city ain't so bad. I still miss the mountains but it's nice being closer to things. My comute went from 186 miles per day to 16 so I've got about another three hours to spend with the family or work around the house.

V just passed her written test and I'm looking for a car for her with an automatic transmission. She did OK driving with a 5-speed but she needs to concentrate on traffic and not shifting.

Dasha is doing well in kindergarten (except for a little hyperactivity which I attribute to her mother constantly feeding her candy and sweets). She's reading at about third or fourth grade level and doing well in math. She's a lot happier now that she has other kids around to play with and Mom can now have some time to herself.

We still have our moments and disagreements but all in all things are much better that I had ever dreamed they could be.

It is so very good to hear how you are doing. So your getting V a "two pedal"? I gave my N a sports car I had, but it was a three pedal, so she would not drive it. Drove a three pedal olds for a few years before she could get her own 2 pedal sports car.

Your good friend Jim B was asking about you recently, wondering how you were doing. I think he was wanting to get ahold of you as well. I'll let him know you are doing fine.

On another note there are some strange things going on with 'L' and her marriage to the guy in Texas.

Funny you should mention Luda. We were just talking about her and the cr@p she could have caused us last week. I got a Valentines Day e-mail from Excellence but I was afraid to open it for fear of catching something.

E-mail me the nasty details along with JB's phone # when you get a chance will ya?

I met my fiancee thru Anastasia.I would say to be cautious, and only choose a few to respond to and quickly narrow it down to 2 or 3 and go from there.BTW it's $8 a letter if you buy a few credits at a time. The more credits you buy the less it cost's per letter. If you only use them for the woman you write to,then they'll last a while.Don't be tempted to open every letter you recieve from beautiful women,or you'll go broke!:-)
The first time I travelled to Berdyansk I was able to see how it all worked, the agency there that's affiliated with Anastasia is owned and operated by my fiancee's close friend out of her own home. They were a very nice couple. In fact the last time I travelled to Berdyansk my 10 year old son came along too and became good friends with the Agency owner's 9 year old daughter. Now they're penpals, writing to each other thru e-mail every other day.I've made a lot of friends in Ukraine. It's my second home now.
Anastasia isn't the best way to go,but if you're careful it can work. The good thing about them is that you'll be able to write to each other several times a week if the women are sincere. It would probably be better to use a smaller agency. You have to decide what your're comfortable with.
I hope this helped you a little.

P.S.This is my first time posting here, but I've been reading this board for about 10 months.I never posted here before because it can be hostile at times.

My experience with Anastasia has been interesting. I posted my ad and received 6 replys a day without a photo. After placing my photo the replies jumped! At a cost of $6 per letter, I was careful whose letter I read after viewing thier profile. The age of the ladies was from 18 - 48. I was specific on my age range, but I still received letters.
Also, I found the same women using other agencies with more up to date photos.
I was lucky to find a lady from Berdyansk as my choice from over 500 letters in 30 days. By the way, I will not be using the K-1 visa, I decided to use the DCF instead. Much quicker and avoids the lengthly processing time going through Nebraska which is about a 10 -12 month wait.
In closing, I would be careful which agency used and would prefer a smaller one, but the masses of women in the larger agencies gives you a variety. Be careful of scammers in any agency.
I hope this helps.

You are certainly welcome here.  I'm sure you have things to contribute...and don't worry about the hostility.  Those who get it usually deserve it.  Again, Welcome.

Thanks for the welcome. There have been a few times I thought I might be able to help someone by sharing my own experiences, but I've been reluctant to jump in up until now.
Just visiting and reading this board has helped me in my own big adventure.:-)
