I have never posted on this board- usually I am over on the Asian or Latin board, but I could not but help to notice
the rental prices you fellows were talking about. By contrast, I am headed back to the Philippines in a few months where I have lined up a nice 4 bedroom, 4 bath house
in a very nice area for $294 per month. Different worlds I guess.

Raenman,

Let me give you the scoop on Kiev flats.

With the exception of between December 30 and January 2nd (or an occassional big football game in town) you will never have a problem getting a nice flat in the center. You can always get a flat on the left bank or away from the center.

Prices for nice one bedroom flats ON Khershatyk or within 5 minutes walk of Khershatyk will go for $55 to $65 a night. Three room flats (two bedrooms) will go for $70 to $85. And yes, if you look hard you will find flats that many guys would not want to stay in for a cheaper price.

Then you will have your delux flats with jacuzzi, sputnik TV, own water supply, etc, that will add an extra $10 to $30 a day.

Usually stays of 10 days or more you will get $5 a day discount. If a guy was going to stay for 2.5 or 3 weeks he should look at renting a flat for a month and it will probably be cheaper.

I would never recommend getting a flat away from the center but if one does he will be able to get flats for $30 to $50 a night.

There are many people and sources who can help you get flats in this price range.

any particular reason you need 2 bedrooms? do you mean 2 room or 2 bedrooms? 2 room is usually a 1 br. and 3 room is a 2 br. there are many to be had this time of year. centrally located would be a street called khreschatyk. you will see many ads that will give you walking distance to there. 2 minutes 5 minutes etc. it is one of the busiest areas and has many things american but also higher priced. if it's your first time, probably a good idea. there's even a tgi fridays close by. another blvd that is close and reasonable is off baseina. good luck in your search.    flash

I'll be in Kiev the week after you.  I've never used an apartment service before, but I plan to use one in Kiev after much advice.

I emailed http://uaapartments.com/apartments and also http://www.kievconnections.com/Apartments/apartments.htm and they each responded with information within two days.  You might also want to check out http://www.apartments.kiev.ua.  They all seem reasonable and with good central locations...and they all beat the $400.00 a night at the Premier Palace.
