kiev subway

for those of you haven't been to kiev and those that have, you must try the subway. the actual journey underground is not to be missed. you will travel several hundred feet down just to get to the platforms. as you ride the escalator down or up, notice the people going in the opposite direction. they seem to be at a thirty five to forty degree angle which i guess they probably are. they look like they are going to fall down. it really tricks the eyes. these had to be engineering feats to dig these tunnels so deep. it's very inexpensive to ride. maybe twelve cents. very fast and efficient.

If you were impressed with the Kiev subway, try the subway in Moscow, especially in the center of the city.  Nothing compares!

The Moscow subway was built for three reasons: (1) Real needs; (2)Communist propaganda; and (3)Nuke shelter. Some stations have splendid marble walls and chandeliers. The Moscow subway is the most spectacular subway I ever rode. I also used the subways in Paris, London, New York, San Fran and Tokyo. None of them is even cloe to Moscow's.
