Although we could file naturalization papers now (3 years if married to US citizen), we're waiting until this time next year.  That way, it will be five years at the same address and won't have to worry about Ukrainian addresses and/or work info explanations.

Also, on I-400: you're a bit on the younger side, but if you were a Pioneer or in the Konsumal then you have to enter YES regarding communist afilliations, and then may later be asked to provide an explanation.  Sometime in '92, after Ukraine became a free nation, Natasha sent a letter resigning from the Konsumal on her own accord (didn't want to pay the dues), so we explain that she did not desire communist affiliation and that it was forced.  Better to be honest in admitting the affiliation (especially if one never made it to being an actual party member), because the BCIS know that such affiliations & training were required of people at the time.

Hi RW...
I just took a glance at the N-400 requirements on their site.
If needed, I will provide the direct URL.
Anyway...removal of conditions does not appear as a condition...if that makes any sence at all!!
Permanent residence begins at the issuence of the initial 551 (green card).

You don't even know me or my "prince charming" story. Kinda convenient stereotype to pin on anybody you come across here, isn't it?

Thank you for words of experienced man, but I am afraid everything you said ain't news to me. And no, I don't take offenses from anybody.

Good luck in your journey.... and safe skies to you too

D*mmit, now don't go pulling pull that soft touch girl thing on me. I hate it when they do that, makes me feel like I was a jerk and I've got no defense against it. Wink

Hey, I can edit too. I need to listen more to who I once was and what I've become and you remind of that. You need to learn how to avoid becoming like me. Lol, let's call it even.

Nah, the least I can do is go out without taking a swipe at what is really an OK gal. Don't take it personally, it's just the way I talk. I really think you're kind of sweet in an innocent sort of way. Classy also, but a tad too gushy for my tastes.

I'm just jealous I'm not 29 again, or that I could be and know what I know now. You'll always have that youth thing to rub in my face, better enjoy it while you can Wink

In truth me thinks your guy did pretty well for himself. In some ways I wish my mate had a little bit of you in her.

Only off by a hair by my sources. And don't you know better than to ask a lady about her age, LP?

...women are not just "ladies" (whatever that means) Zink, they're people just like you and me. They deserve no more special treatment or courtesy than men should expect. Besides, she posted it for all to see. Thanks for the confirmation, it resolved something that had puzzled me for some time.
