We were driving down the street and our daughter was being annoying, my wife told her to be quiet and look out the window for flying sausage -- which did  nothing to calm her down, and only made her laugh loudly for 10 minutes at her mother's gaff (flying saucers).

If this is an unfortunate word choice thread, then I should add the following.  We were shopping for a ski suit for my wife last spring.  We found one we liked, but she wanted to tell the sales clerk to give us a moment to discuss it ...

"We are just disgusting right now".

Fortunetaly I had a few of those moments and they are priceless. My former wife wanted to make borsch one day and we had to stop at the grocery store for the meat. As I'm getting out of the truck she says "Trace, no pig, no pig"...she didn't know the English word for pork nor the English word for beef. I didn't know the Russian word for beef so I replied "ya znaiu baby, karovi, ya znaiu". Not that I needed more than one cow but that's how it came out :-)
