For those of you in the LA area interested in Japan. Personally, I can't miss anything with taiko (Japanese drums concert.)

Jeff  and  Bob s

Thanks  for  the  Info  unfortunately  I  can't  go  but I  forewarded  the  Info  to  Masami  in Glendale  so  maybe  she  can  go.   I  saw  Michael  palin  learning  to  play  the  Taiko drums  on  a  FULL CIRCLE  episode.  Talk  about  getting  a  full  body  work  out.  I  hope  you  enjoy  the  show  and the  Food  with Mariko.

I  have  been  writing  to  a male  penpal  in Osaka  and  we  were  discussing  the  blooming Cherry  blossoms  as  it creaps  it's  way  north  across Japan.   Is  it  true  however that these trees  do  not  yield  any  cherries?
they  bloom  with  a  pinkish hue  right?  The  cherry  tree  in  my  neighbors  yard  always  bloomed white.  And  oh my god  then  they  were  ripe  in  the  end  of  June watch out.  One  year  I was up  in  their tree so  long  picking  and  eating  cherries  that she  came  out doors  and  kicked  me  out  and  told  me  to  go  home  ha ha ha ha.  I always  wonder  if  it  was  a  liability  issue (falling  out  of  the  tree)  or  if  she  wanted  to  save  me from   a  stomach  ache or  if  it  is  because I  didn't  ask.  there  were  plenty  of  cherries  to  go  around !

Have  fun
