English - Russian software program question

There are inherent problems with programs which translate sentences Eng-Rus or Rus-Eng.  If you are going to be writing to some ladies it would be better to have a person fluent in both languages to translate.  And not to use a program.

Thanks but my wife would be a little upset if I start writing to "some ladies".  Nope, just need the program so I can communicate with Larisa for the next 18 months to 2 years.

But cheaper is what you will get. I first bought something called 'Universal Translator 2000' from Language Force ("the translation software experts"), and for a modest amout it promised to be the best program on the market,if you needed more power in the program, it could be upgraded for a slight additional fee. I installed it, and translated a few letters I wrote, and it looked great to me, but the girls I showed the letters to in Russia said that they were just a bunch of words that had absolutely no meaning when put into a  sentence. TOTALLY worthless as a translation program. The additional fee to upgrade just sent a software key to unlock programming that was already on the CD, that added more meaningless words into a group to a sentence. The shipping was a lot from Promt, but it does the job, and that's what counts. Now that it can be delivered online, that's even better yet, and it's cheaper than it was a few years ago.

It's this darn software I have. I like to keep my PC clean because I'm a privacy freak. You'd be too if you were wanted in 11 states...
