ColdBrother,

My trip to Ukraine was
primarily business. However,I did
have the chance to renew
some acquaintances and meet a few
ladies. I am not big on sharing details of
personal relations, but I did have a nice time
and increased my contacts. It is a very needy place. As
always I experienced culture "shock" (bad word because way too strong) going *and* returning. I never get used to how much more sophisticated *acting* FSU people are, but how much more friendly Americans are; how in shape they are, and how fat Americans are; how much we take for granted, and how much they assume about the rest of the world, including America, that is so inacurate. Kiev is making a
tremendous economic recovery, but the rest of the country is
still in decline. I spent almost two weeks in  one of the the far eastern oblasts and met hundreds of people, and then several days in Kiev. More memories for the soul.
