It was great, she really loved it!  She could not really believe a place like that really existed.  I mean, they see it on TV etc., but it's not really real to them until they get somewhere like that.  It was great, the snorkeling, boogie-boarding, restaurants, etc..
Never did hear from Stan when we were in Maui.  We left several messages for him but he never called back.

Still, it's good to be home!

Actually I left a few messages for you with their automated answering
system for room 1105. After the 2nd day I should have tried to come
down there and find you guys myself, or left a hand written note. Anyway
I'm glad you had a good time. So what did you do while on Maui? Aloha, Stan

Went snorkeling at Molokini crater and Turtle Town and boogie-boarding along Kaanapali beach.  The restaurants were very good, Hula Grill, Leilani's, Mama's Fish House, Moose Magilicutties etc..  We felt the beaches were the best on Maui out of the three islands we went to.  It's so clean and well kept up there, the roads are nice compared to the other islands, etc.. Went to the Maui Ocean Center, great aquariums!  Went to a couple of Luau's.

I had a discussion before we left with one board member about the Royal Lahaina Hotel not being very good supposedly.  Well, it's at the end of Kaanapali Beach (as you know, the top beach there supposedly) at the end of a long stretch of top rated resorts, all $300-$500 plus per night and we only paid $119 per night.  It certainly isn't a 5 star hotel, but the room was with an incredible ocean view on the 11th of 12 floors and it was just fine, small but very clean etc..  I think it is the best value on Kaanipali and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again at all, we both thought it was great..
Really sorry we missed you.  The front desk said that if we had any calls, the light on our phone would be flashing but it never was.  Not getting any message from you, we thought you must have had to leave the island for some reason or something..

Oscar
