Sunday, Cebu City.
Sunday morning dawned bright and sunny, and as usual I was up when daylight hit. Rick met me in the restaurant at 6 am, and we talked for quite some time. Then Audrey joined us for breakfast.
Afterwards Audrey went home, and Rick and I went down to Carbon Market to see about our product. The elder lady wasn't there, but the younger one was. Again, we told her we wanted 1000 pieces, and we bought all they had, which was 11. There were some alterations we wanted made to the ones they would make in the future, and I left my specimen from last year as an example of what we wanted. She put it up on the top shelf. The rest of the day we wasted doing nothing.
Sunday evening we went back to Exotica, and talked with Bill for a while. Neither Nancy nor Audrey were there. Later, a gentleman came in and we got talking, and he introduced himself. Instantly I recognized the name as someone I have communicated with on one of the web forums. We had a good time, and closed down Exotica. Then him and I took a cab to a bar he knew of that he thought might be open. It wasn't, and I walked back to Eddies. It was 4 am.
Monday, Cebu City.
Monday we did a lot of running around getting our business out of the way, there was quite a list of things to be done, and it took us most of the day.
Then we went to meet a penpal of Rick's, *Marianne. We went to her aunt's house and had dinner, staying until midnight. Her aunt has a fairly nice and new house on the bay in Lapu-Lapu. Everyone tried fixing me up with Marianne's cousin, but she was much too nice for the likes of me.
Late Monday night I walked into Exotica, and Bill looked at me funny. He says, "What did you do with Nancy?" "Haven't seen her." He then informed me that once again neither Nancy nor Audrey had reported for work. He said he knew where Audrey was, implying that she was with Rick. Having just left Rick at Eddies, I knew she was not with him. I told Bill, "I don't know where she is, but I know where she ISN'T!!"
I then left and went to the Lone Star. Once again I was lambasted by hordes of girls wanting drinks, and once again they all left disappointed.
After an hour or so, I noticed a girl sitting by herself in a corner. She is very petite and nice looking, I would guess about 4'10" and MAYBE 85 lbs. She didn't participate in the normal activity of seeking out some rich foriegner to buy her drink. She got up and danced when it was her turn, then sat back down.
After a while I smiled at her, and she came over. She asked me "Why you so lonely?" I answered, "I miss my dog." This sent her into gales of laughter, and I pretended to be miffed at her for laughing at me, which made her laugh more. We talked for quite a while, and eventually I bought her a drink. She told me her name was *Janie, she is 26, and has a 3 yo son. I left after several hours of talking with her, and retired for the evening.
