A Russian Po--- site has taken over my internet start site on my computer. I see it listed in my favorites in internet explorer now..But I can't seem to delete it. It will interrupt my other web spage. I ran my virius program and it does not show any virus.
I would appricate any computer person that can give advice on how to remove this offending website(s).It will go to one then sometimes go to another equally rude web site.

Thanks

Hijacking porn sites are always a pain to remove.  It's one of the things I constantly get asked to help with.  Here's something you might try:

If you have Win9x varients (95, 98, Me) or if you run WinXP, you can run MSCONFIG (Start, Run, MSCONFIG).  Then, go to the startup tab.  Then start looking at everything that starts up.  If you have a REGEDIT entry, there's a good chance that's it.  I've seen another that was an executeable that ran with a /noshow switch.  Uncheck that box and don't reboot yet.  Next, reset your homepage again.  Now, reboot.

Give that a shot and see if it helps.

This is a good site to have as a reference: http://www.spywareinfo.com  It tells you how to get rid of some of the more problematic hijacking sites like Whazit.
