Chapter 3, part 2.

Saturday, Cebu.

I awoke around 5:30 am, and went down to the restaurant for my am coffee. The staff was asleep, so I helped myself to what coffee was in the pot, then made a fresh pot.

My friend and business partner, Rick, was due in this morning, and we had many things to discuss. I spent about 2 hours writing notes to myself. He showed up around 9:30, and we sat there talking until noon. Then we both went to take naps. We met back in the restaurant at 3, and had a meal and about 10 san migs apiece. So much for my taking him to see our supplier today! Oh well.

Afterwards, we went to Exotica to see Bill. The girl from last night immediately presented herself, and I asked her who she was. She told me she was very disappointed that I didn't remember her name, and that her name was Nancy. I assured her that if indeed I had heard her name the night before I would have remembered it as I have 2 sisters named Nancy. I don't think she believed me, but it is the truth.

I asked her if she wanted to be my girlfiend for a while, and she told me "No, I want you to marry me and we make lots of babies". This was at least good for a chuckle.

She asked me "What is your work?"  I told her "I'm a homeless bum." She seemed to think this was funny and didn't ask again.

Rick barfined one of the other girls (*Audrey) and left with her. Nancy and I talked for a while, then I left also. I went to the Lone Star Saloon, and had several beers, ignoring all the GROs who came up asking for drinks.

Finally, I went back to Eddies and slept.

Hi Larry,
 Thanks for the trip report.  I almost feel as though I am there with you, I have been to so many of the places that you mention.  Sleeping employees-  that is something that always amazed me, to walk through a hotel lobby that has a dozen employees sleeping, and they never wake up.

It used to amaze me too. Myrna worked at the Sarrosa in Mandaue, and was always telling me she did her normal day running around because she slept all night at work. When I would call her at work, most of the time it was obvious that I woke her up. I found this odd then, but any more it seems to be the norm.
