Did you get my email? Thanks for your offer but I respectfully decline.( the offer not the trip). Truth is I’m worth a lot but your gesture is greatly appreciated.
I’ve got a link  to an ISP in Kuwait but have to proxy to beat the censorship….probably meant to filter porn sites but also blocks a lot of legit including some RW sites. Don’t want to use our military channel, won’t be fair on my boys who have to rely on snail mail from their families.

I heard there was a massive anti-war protest yesterday in Moscow in front of the US embassy. Too bad they weren’t in Baghdad to witness the celebration of the Iraqi people. Putin, Schroeder and Chirac are meeting on Saturday in St. Petersburg…they were caught off guard and too late now to cancel. Kofi Annan had more sense, said yesterday he couldn’t make it. Would be interesting to hear the statements coming out of St.Petersburg. Germany and France will be joining the Russians on naval exercises in the Persian Gulf……maybe another Warsaw Pact in the making here…with some of our ex-allies.

Note of reflexion.: I am usually very critical of the immigration problem on our Southern border. However many of our guys and 7 of our dead are Latinos who are just green card holders. They will be awarded posthumously with US citizenship, small comfort. To all the Latinos in the US army….Que Dios te bendiga.

Thanks CW for the updates and for what you are doing out there. I am so proud of all our servicemen as I know what a sacrifice it can be. I was in the Navy through most of the 80's. You guys sacrifice a lot and all I can say is THANK YOU and hope you all return home safe and soon.

The UKR de-con unit is still in southern Kuwait, i didn't see them again. Fortunately we didn't need their services. I did meet some Poles from their special ops unit (Glom). They were very resentful that Chirac accused them and other East European states as being `childish' for supporting the US.

I have not read too many news stories about the Polish Special forces, but I remember a Fox news guy who said they were doing a lot of dirty work in the campaign. He made it sound like they were doing a really good job.

Good to hear you are doing well and very glad you did not need the Ukrainian de-con chicks.

Hope everything is well.

Got your e-mail.

Guys! There is an imbedded reporter traveling in Cold Warriors unit. There is this photo of General Tommy Franks wearing his beret, his four stars on both sides of his collars. Another two star General standing close by. And not more than 4 feet from General Franks is our own Cold Warrior. These are some seriously mean looking dudes. By the patch on there shoulders it looks like they are part of the Airborne division, maybe the 101.  With those 23 notches in Warriors M-16 I can see why outhouse shut his trap!

And what is Cold Warrior worried about?  "I hope my hair grows back before the fall"!

Is there a link to the picture Jack mentioned that doesn't pose a security risk?

I guess I misunderstood: I figured the photo was in the public domain.  No need to share something sent in private.

If I may intervene.

It probably was not a good idea for me to have even mentioned the photo Cold Warrior sent me. There are many men who prefer to maintain there identity, unlike ole stupid me.

Cold Warrior may not prefer to have his photo shown. I should not have mentioned the photo. Cold Warrior is a very modest man. In just knowing someone one was actually over there, ducking bullets, and whom may even be in Baghdad today as we speak, I felt such a streak of pride that I wanted to mention the photo.

Cold Warrior, you don't have to give up your e-mail address by sending out the photo, if you even want to send out. If you would like for others to see the photo that have an interest, I have no problem with replying to those request on an individual basis.

by that I mean Mission the city right next to McAllen where I live. I have been watching the Mexican news channels as they are all our TV at work can catch. The news were VERY anti American in their slant HOWEVER they DID feature a LOT of feature articles on the amount of Latino's fighting over there. IT"S like they don't approve of the war but they are proud of the men. I KNOW EXACTLY what you mean about our border here & even though I'm 1/2 Latino I agree STRONGLY. Edgar Hernandez is the young man missing. We fear/feel he is dead though.
