It was just a ho-hum (meaning boring for you Filipinas) trip except for meeting DonB2222 and his wife Vilma and their friends Jim and GingGing and their friend Margie from Las Vegas.  It was again nice to meet the people we post with and we appreciate their courteousy in showing us around.  Hope we can return the favor one day.  Stone Mountain was nice but -2 C in March?  Loved the Dogwood trees and the white blooms.

May_10 - Awesome girl!!!  We are very happy for you. Really.  No wonder you didn't want to run against Sen. Lagarda (too bad I think you'd be a much better representative).  Welcome Barry if you're reading any of this.

JeffT's fiancee got her Visa and Abilgail, Anne, Grace and Honey will all get to go to a wedding soon.  Abigail and Tony have helped us find some good Filipina stores and things here in Houston we were unaware of.  Tony and Abigail love to show old movies like Syonara and Filipina Dream Girls.  The girls all had fun singing Videoke and playing PlayStation car racing last weekend.  I know the opportunity to speak their native language was comfortable for them - I just got to learn what they're saying so I know if its me when I hear that "Gwapo" word.  But maybe its good that no one knows what they're talking about once I learned what they were saying at the Columbian restaurant last week.  Something about all the different languages of the Philippines and what body parts are in them?

Sorry about not posting for a week but Honey forgot the power supply for the laptop.

Time for some sleep.  Got to do a lot of chores tomorrow and take honey to see all the Bluebonnets in bloom.  Post pictures soon.

thanks Art.....but,  I have never liked politics.

The bills that I will only handle will be housebills, I think....*grin*  And for Memoranda of Agreements,  the best one would be that where both parties say  agree ("I DO")  with the God as Witness.

*S*    Maybe, I can someday give the esteemed Senator Legarda (I do like her though) some "realities"  on Fil-AM marriages.

Hi May!

Was that “esteemed” or “is steamed”? Where were you when the senator needed you during some of the recent Legarda discussions here? She could have used all the help she could get (LOL!)

I really don’t think that Senator Legarda would be interested in hearing about the “realities” or the truth about Fil-Am marriages. She is obviously only interested in perpetuating her rhetoric in hopes of getting more of those poor, uneducated women from the provinces to vote for her when she runs for president. Oh well, such is politics I guess. I wonder which victim category she would place you in May, “mildly trafficked” or “severely trafficked”? :-)

I respect your opinion and would welcome your views on the “Mail Order Bride” phenomenon, especially as it relates to the senator’s comments on  “trafficking” and the Internet sites that she recently attacked.

Peace,

Ray

Ray,

What are you trying to do...get me banned from the Philippines? I think that Loren is a wealthy, overzealous spin doctor...which doesn't surprise me, considering her former TV career. I say, take away her US Visa so she can't travel to the US to shop in NY or Beverly Hills. Dammn communists...never practice what they preach!

LOL!  If I was Barry reading that I'd be touched and thanking God for such a good woman.  BTW, I leave for the airport in about an hour so I hope to be touched soon and thanking God myself!

wow!!!.....I can imagine how you're feeling right now.  *s*

And Wena, up there in the air must surely be feeling that, too.

Just remember.....God rested on the 7th day.  *grin*
But, I think God would understand you and Wena just this once.  *grin*

Hug her for me, too.

Hi Bear,
It was a lot of fun meeting you and your adorable wife Marissa. Glad to hear that you were able to make it to Stone Mountain, sorry we were not available to be with you that one day.  You are right, it makes the board so much more interesting and real when you get to meet the other members. Looking forward to our guided tour of Houston ;0)
