Here is information about the latest report from the newly formed BCIS (replaced the INS in the US) regarding the processing of 129-f's.

The BCIS is really cranking out the cases now. From March 1 to March 15, they started processing 20 day's worth of cases. As of 3/15, they were processing cases from 12/23 of last year. Today is April 4th, and I conservatively estimate they are now starting to process cases from as late as January 20th! So that means my case has not only been started, but I should hear the results in about a week and a half.

I be psyched!!!

 Processing Time Period
 1/1/03 to 2/15/03
Worked on only 4 day's worth of cases (during six weeks of work!)

 Processing Time Period
 2/15/03 to 3/1/03
Worked on 12 day's worth of cases (during 2 weeks of work)

Latest Processing Time Period
3/01/03 to 3/15/03
Worked on 20 day's worth of cases during 2 weeks of work

I thought I'd use the automated phone service to check the status of my case (again), and found out that our 129-F has been approved. To try to be helpful to others who have been waiting, the notice date of the INS receipt of our cases is January 2nd. The approval date by BCIS is April 1st. (Hopefully, it's not an April Fool's Day joke.) This is the situation in the California Service Center. So from the notice date to approval, it took three months. BCIS is getting faster and faster. This is good news for everyone in the US I think that shows that BCIS clearly is getting it done.
