Hey Mark,

Thanks for the post. Good to hear from you and its great to hear that you are now married. I agree with almost everything you said in your personal description. My only exception is the ease of the process. I think a lot of it has to do with your regional office. At the time my Ira came over, I lived in Miami. As you may know, the Miami office is not the ideal one to use. : )

As for the deal with MarkH and Jack, I am really sorry to hear about it. I liked both of those guys a lot and I thought they got along well with each other too. They do both have really strong personalities so maybe that had something to do with it. Anyway, I will try to e-mail you today and maybe you can give me the scoop on MarkH and the fight he had with Jack.

Welcome back Dan and congratulations to you and your wife.

You would have known me as greg, greg123 but now the search. Did you post under DanM then? I am trying to remember you.

I remember Greg123. Glad to see you are still here. How goes the search?

Yes I posted under DanM. I posted a lot for about 6 months in the middle of 2001. I was here while the Claire thing was rather heated. Also there was some other guy who would keep posting under a lot of different aliases and just try to make people mad.

Even though a few wackos would post from time to time, I still enjoyed this board a lot. For a guy who is serious, but new to the search, this place is gold.

Good to hear from you.

I thought that was the same handle however, I questioned my memory when I did a search and there were no posts under that handle - I guess they do not go back that far.

Anyway glad to hear about your story.

As for me, went over twice - did not work out. Not yet back into it. May or may not who knows---  just been too busy

Keep the faith. My first FSU relationship did not work out either. I went over in January 2000 with Lifetimepartners. I met over 30 girls and became engaged to one. The wrong one. In hindsight I can see so many things I did incorrectly. Anyway, my engagement did not end as I hoped and I felt pretty burned out for a while myself. After about one year, however, I was able to recover and look again. Thats when I found my wife. I gotta tell you that a single day does not pass when I do not think about how lucky I am to have such a wonderful girl.

My point is to learn from your mistakes. Keep an open mind and an open heart.

Take care.

Thanks a lot for the nice sentiment. I read your profile and I just wanted to tell you that you should definitely keep up hope. Also, I see no reason why the odds are stacked against you. The process can be intimidating, but you should not feel it is impossible. Just remember that you have a lot of friends here who are happy to help.

Best Wishes
