Olya told me the word is out and she is now starting to tell people - she (and me too, I guess --smile--) are 'expecting'. It'll be her first and she is quite excited about the prospect. Well, she is excited when she isn't feeling tender and nauseous.

We've already picked out the possible names - Ekaterina for a little girl and Aleksander for a little boy.

Watch out KenC - rumor has it you're next --smile--.

Congratulations Dan and Olya! I can't believe it, and I am so happy for you both. Sounds to me like you been messin around again Dan Smiley I love the name Ekaterina. I always think of Ekaterina Gordieva. If a girl, I will bet if she takes after Olya, she will be just as pretty. But if she takes after you.............well uhh, lets be optimistic!

Dan,

That is great news!  We went through the initial INS stuff with you and it looks like we are going through pregnancy with you too.  I am due on July 11th--with either a Kateryna or a Nicholas.  We had an ultrasound this week and saw hiccupping and thumb sucking.  

I hope Olya feels well.  She will be much better in a month or two once she hits the 3 month mark.

It is terrific to hear the wonderful news from you.

How's the hubby feeling about everything? Excited too, I'll bet.

Dima is REALLY, REALLY excited about being a dad.  And he spoils me immensely by doing lots of extra things to help me out.  Kind of goes against some of the stereotypes that people have of Soviet men.  I am enjoying the pampering.

I hope Olya gets back to 'normal' soon.

First things first - Olya and I are both warmed by the hearty congratulations from all on (and off) the board. We thank you all VERY much.

Due date is not yet exact as it is still quite early (she couldn't contain herself from telling people --smile--), but it looks like the new arrival will make his/her appearance in late-September.

Quite a year 2003 looks to be. New house (just finished moving in) and new baby. More to come, no doubt - hopefully, the baby will make an appearance into a peaceful world with a stable economy.

Re: Practice. After 3 years of practicing, I guess we managed to get it right --smile--. It was sort of like 'falling off a log' --- sort of --BIG smile--.

Thanks again to everyone. We'll keep you all appraised of the progress.
