a great deal of money and time to get their wife/fiancee by their side, waste even a single moment reading and posting to this board?  He leaves the love of his life to lie alone in their bed while he tap tap taps gleefully at his keyboard?  When his marriage fails will he join the corps of green-card-scammer whiners?

This is not directed at any one poster.  There are several.  I am not interested in attacking anyone.  I just don't understand it.

I NEVER leave my wife alone to tap-tap-tap.

I have a laptop that's on a wireless network. I can take the computer anywhere in the house...

Seriously... she's amused by most of this. Most of my posts come during the day, Griff. I am not neglecting my wife... I'm neglecting my work.

Please!

I have priorities ;-)

Though it has never been my intention to be a troublemaker, but I understand that most of you, maybe all feel like that. However, I also feel like a strange bird here in this company. A lot of you are from Texas, and even if Texas is far away, it is on the same planet. To me it looks like I've landed on another planet, it's so strange here.

Sometimes this board are extremely boring, I've been here for years,(and remember how Jack and some other gentlemen bullied King Dande when he first came to this board, even if the end was good), and sometimes I've thought that I should tell you what I meant and to challenge some of you a little. However I've noticed that you don't like a bird with another colour. I'm glad that you have accepted yoe at last. He also has some strange colours to some of you. I would remark, however, his colour is somewhat strange to me also, but I like a society with many colours.

Then to the subject in this thread. I'm having a big time difference. For example now, it's early morning. It's a terrible weather outside, and I'v just driven Elena to the bus and I'm having some time till I need to go. Sometimes I write the post when she is out for training, aerobic or body pump or whatever it is. We also give each other some free time, time for ourself to be alone. For me it's also interesting to practise English. I learn a lot by reading and trying to understand you. Still I think the last weeks have taken too much time, and to make you happy, I will not post much anymore, I will mostly ignore PL, there are more important things to concentrate on. However, I will be lurking now and then, and maybe I will post sometimes just so Patrick doesn't take away my account.

...I doubt many here feel you're a troublemaker, those positions are already overstaffed. Besides, it's always interesting to have someone from another culture here to keep these egotistical Yanks in check anyway. But you need to get one thing straight: Texas and Texans pretty much *are* on another planet.

[This message has been edited by RW]

Unfortunately, spending all time at work does not give me much chance to follow "Days of our lives" and "MOB adventures"...oooops, that did not come out yet... Smiley

That is like playing one of those murder games/nights with the friends... Who posted as Claire? and who actually was the misterous landscaper? And most importantly what was the agenda?? Was there one or not? Somehow women will come into play, they are the root of all the evil anyways. But so far the princes in shining armore can blow ther horns about their victories and announce that they succeeded rescuing their princesses from the dragons..

You know, the question I always had in mind was how in the world did Cinderella story finished? Did she and prince REALLY live happily ever after? Or did she drive him crazy trying to clean the castle and his kingdom after all turned out to be in financial crisis???

Good night, sweet dreams...

You use of the English language has evolved quite nicely.

I liked your post.

RW can you tell me where are the websites where RW exchange views about married life in USA.  I have a RW friend who recently arrived in USA on fiancee visa and wants to join such groups.  What are the URLs for some of these sites where the ladies correspond in the Russian language?

Also, if there are several, can you note the type of discussions in each?  I would want to warn her if some were just sites that mostly complain about AM, versus those that are more 'balanced' in their discussions.

Thanks,

JR

I think the best one: http://www.russianwomenabroad.com/our_forum/default.asp
You can find everything there - age difference, opportunities for work, how to deal with in-laws and ex-wives, children's adaptation to life in US, etc. The reason I like this forum the most is because it seems to be really balanced and most of the girls are married to foreigners (there are ladies from other countries than US posting there too). To be honest, I have not seen a lot of AM "bashing" going on. Usually it is realization that there are MANY things which women HAVE to discuss with their future husbands before getting married. Many do not realize how things work in US, how much spouse support and child alimony take out of income, etc, etc.

There are also lots of publications on women living abroad at www.newwoman.ru

...Hows the hubby doing? Can he spell C-R-A-F? Is he ready to go to war with the rest of us or is that little podunk carrier immune? ;-)
