I've been emailing 2 women. 1 for 3 months and the other for 2. 1 from Surgut Russia and the other from Kostroma Russia. To my knowledge they don't know each other and until now neither had asked for money. Everything seemed fine and they seemed happy that I was making plans to visit them although they both wanted me to visit sooner than early spring. Now they've both said if I send $350 I don't even have to come visit because she can get a visa through a travel agency that will arrange everything for the bride interview at the embassy in Moscow.

I'm very familiar with the K-1 fiancee visa at least in the Ukraine about 1 year ago which was nothing like this other than the fact the final result is the interview at the American embassy in Warsaw and the visa is given to her.

So folks, before I decide to fork over the money, accelerate my travel plans alot, or drop them both and search for other women: is this a scam?

To get a K-1 visa you have to meet in person, so beware.

I am just curious if you found them through a particular web site? Also, did you look at the scammer lists to see if you saw their photos or other matching data?

Tell them that they can't get a visa to the US that easily and see what they say just in case they are trying to be sincere.  I think though that you may need to keep looking.

It most likely is a scam.  A good rule of thumb that has served many men here well- Never send money to a woman you have never met in person.
The other thing is that no sincere RW will typically ask a man for money, especially one they have never met.  They have too much pride.

Good luck..
