I understand that the vast majority of people here do their own paperwork, but for me, I just did not have the time to do the AOS after our marriage. From the time that I first met Vilma to when she first came to America I had spent 8 of those 12 months in the Philippines.
My business had been neglected, and I had to work as much as possible to catch up.
Anyway, I checked around, and an immigration attorney was recommended to me by a close friend. The fee for processing the AOS was $625, and she charges $250 each if you need the advance parole or employment authorization done also. Of course, that does not include the INS fees that you would have to pay whether you use her or do it yourself. Her fee does include her going with you to the INS interview.
I have been very happy with her work, and can pass along her name and number to anyone
that cares to use an attorney also. I can be contacted at donb2222@hotmail.com
Some attorneys were bold enough to quote me $2500 -$3500, which is crazy.
If you can do it yourself, that is probably the best way to go. If it is not possible to do it yourself, feel free to contact me.
