I got my 2nd NOA. what happens next? Do I have to call Manila and request packets 3 and 4 or will they send them when they receive papers from the US?  Also how long does it take for the papers to get from the US to Manila? Its not that I am getting excited or anxious, just wondering.

Hi Chuck!

After the embassy receives the paperwork from INS, they will send her a forms packet with instructions. Who knows how long it will take for the paperwork to reach Manila? Sometimes it takes months, depending on your INS Service Center.

If you want to speed things up, send her a copy of the 2nd NOA form. If she has access to a Fax machine, that’s probably the fastest way, unless you want to scan it and enclose it with an e-mail so she can print it out.

After she has the NOA and her passport, she can call the embassy and request a forms package. They will probably ask for her passport number, the case number from the NOA, and her name & address. After she has all the forms completed, she can go to St. Lukes for the medical exam and turn in the papers (no appointment needed). Here’s the number for her to call:

-----
Immigrant and Fiancé/e Visa Information Call Center
Calls within the Philippines:
1-909-101-0011
The Call Center is available on PLDT telephones with NDD or IDD access. This is a toll call costing 25 pesos per minute, plus NDD charges for calls outside of Manila.
Calls from outside the Philippines:
63 998 101-0012
There is a $6.00 fee charged to your credit card at the beginning of the call. This is in addition to long-distance fees charged by your provider.
Note: At present this service works only for calls carried over AT&T, MCI, Sprint and Teleglobe.

I have no idea if you can call from here and request the forms package???

Good luck!

My girl lives in Manila and was able to call with her case # and get the courier to deliver packet 3 right away. Since she works in the day she has to leave her passport with somone at home where they will deliver the packet. I think when you open a file before the NOA reaches Manila they call it a provisional file.

Bryan,

Did they ask for a passport or identification when they delivered the forms packet? I have also heard that she can stop by St. Luke's and pick up the packet from them.

Are you still waiting on the visa? Fiancée visa? I was just curious if the instructions with the forms packet specifically asked for an I-134 Affidavit of Support. They seem to change the policy every few months.

Thanks,

Ray
